QUOTE(DJNoni @ Oct 27 2018, 11:54) Who needs cap? to save some potions? (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif) I buy them in bulk. Cap isn't needed even for dark. But if it happens to come, I won't reforge of course. it looks nice (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/heh.gif)

But if it happens to come, I won't reforge of course. Capacitor doesn't even save anything at all. The only noticeable effect is making mana elixirs more efficient. It has absolutely no effect on potions or draughts. I'd go so far as to say I prefer any elemental mitigation over Capacitor, period. This post has been edited by decondelite: Oct 27 2018, 19:58

That's conventional thinking and I also prefer the elemental mitigations at my current level. However I noticed that as I increase my effective MP regeneration abilities with Effluent Ether and increasing in level (buffs last longer and are thus cheaper, one-time spells stay the same) and maybe in the future Resplendent Regeneration, Enigma Energizer, and Innate Arcana -- that it can help to have more Capacitor (I lost mine recently in favor of Juggernaut and I noticed).
Although Capacitor does not help directly with saving MP it helps indirectly by providing a bigger buffer, enabling you to make more efficient use out of random RiddleMasters and Mana Gems. They'll restore the same amount but it's less likely you'll end up wasting them.

You can see it that way, yes. But frankly, avoiding tiny wastes of mana due to a wild riddle that pops right after using a gem/potion is certainly not worth a waste of bazillions of manesia shards. Especially when potions and elixirs are worth next to nothing. EDIT: Snowflake really has quite some humour. Right after the rage-worthy item that needed 50 shards to get Jug5, I've obtained that one with an absolute zero shards needed. This post has been edited by decondelite: Oct 28 2018, 12:09

Interesting. That ability piques my interest. [ imgur.com] (IMG:[i.imgur.com] http://i.imgur.com/Fw4Mq1wm.jpg)

With my improved equipment I hit 80 the last few days, but Stamina finally dropped down to 69 in IW today, below the exp threshold for the first time ever. Now I will be able to level up slower than ever!
I suppose I could have always done this to keep my level low, by just entering IW and running away. I might do that in the future if I want to level very slowly.

You mean entering Grindfest and run away. Right? Because i have no idea what just entering and leaving IW would even do. I guess nothing except for some free Battles Won for some players. (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif)

(IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif) a GF takes 1 stamina to enter, any IW consumes the stamina needed to complete the run at the time you start it, I suppose this is just so you won't get under 10 stamina before you finish the run, don't get potency exp and blame the game for not watching the stamina before you do an IW

Protip: do it on a Peerless equipment to waste 4 stamina at once. if you're above 80 stamina, that is. That's how I do to levelup as slowly as possible.

Finished a simple IW10 in a day for the first time. My new buckler speeds me up and I made a bunch of script/interface improvements to consistently get me to ~2 turns/second. Also helped a tiny bit to be on a dark day. I didn't realize it before but given my time zone, dark is just as good an element for playing on weekends as holy, because most of Sunday is instead a dark day where I am.
Now I have a full power set for the first time, most of it still tradeable. I'll surpass 8000 attack after another level or some shield pab forging. Soulfusing the buckler took me from 8190 ⟶ 6810 fragments, still have plenty.

Won a staff ( Peerless Ethereal Oak Staff of the Earth-walker at the auction. From my old Superior Ethereal Oak Staff of Focus, I will miss the IWability and the mana conservation and casting speed bonus, but I hope it is really a trade for the better. Well, I put my old staff in storage, in case something go wrong. Now the (rhetorical) question is if I should attempt to upgrade beyond level 5 the stats I already powered up. But seems like a pain to have to seriously pay attention to what items are needed and/or how worthy each thing is (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/faint.gif)

What would anyone want with an ethereal earthwalker staff?
