I was hoping for 2 potencies for better stacking, it messed up in the end as usual. I also replaced my gloves and pants. My new stats:

For the first time, I was able to finish the shield IW in one day, with the help of new gloves and pants and soulfused exp on the last four potencies. It took me four days to IW my pants. Surprisingly, PFUDOR IW is starting to be not much different from IWBTH IW and that was before changing the shield. I used 3~4 spirit draughts per pants IW and 1~3 spirit draughts per shield IW so the resource drain is becoming irrelevant.

I haven't had a proper level up messages for ages, instead I always start a RE with full yellow bar that turn into smaller yellow bar, no level up message, and I just see the fact that my level changed after the fight.

FINALLY got Jug5 on that disgusting thing, after around 50 shards, more then 10 hours of repeating IW again and again and agaiiiiiin. Oh, and an absolute zero amount of decent drops on the way, to make it even more painful.

You don't want to know how angry I've been today, for the first time since many months, possibly more than 1 year. But do imagine how hard it is to prepare yourself in the last rounds, in order not to throw your keyboard away, as you have IW7 Jug 4, IW8 Jug4, then IW9 Jug4.

Seriously, I know people who have ragequitted games for much less than that. When does this stupid and hateworthy shit of IW system get removed? (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/mad.gif)

Same for J5C5, IW9 J5C4 or J4C5 -> IW10 J5C4/J4C5 Trashproof Lv.1, happened in my goddamn 4 pieces, spent total 1300+ AS. It is quite often to get undesired potency/unable to get desired lv at last tier, the only reason for such mechanism exist is probably pissing off everyone I guess, and consume you more AS with time.

I won't even have the foolishness of trying to get the #1 perfect potency on anything when it comes to armor. Jug5 is already enough of a bitch by itself, so let's not even try J5C5. Weapons have it cooler regarding that.

Capacitor doesn't even save anything at all. The only noticeable effect is making mana elixirs more efficient. It has absolutely no effect on potions or draughts. I'd go so far as to say I prefer any elemental mitigation over Capacitor, period.

That's conventional thinking and I also prefer the elemental mitigations at my current level. However I noticed that as I increase my effective MP regeneration abilities with Effluent Ether and increasing in level (buffs last longer and are thus cheaper, one-time spells stay the same) and maybe in the future Resplendent Regeneration, Enigma Energizer, and Innate Arcana -- that it can help to have more Capacitor (I lost mine recently in favor of Juggernaut and I noticed).

Although Capacitor does not help directly with saving MP it helps indirectly by providing a bigger buffer, enabling you to make more efficient use out of random RiddleMasters and Mana Gems. They'll restore the same amount but it's less likely you'll end up wasting them.

You can see it that way, yes. But frankly, avoiding tiny wastes of mana due to a wild riddle that pops right after using a gem/potion is certainly not worth a waste of bazillions of manesia shards. Especially when potions and elixirs are worth next to nothing.

EDIT:
Snowflake really has quite some humour. Right after the rage-worthy item that needed 50 shards to get Jug5, I've obtained that one with an absolute zero shards needed.
