IA V is Completely Useless*
*Mage: you need Spirit Shield, Haste, Shadow Veil and Spark of Life. Not protection, as 1 cast is long enough for most arena's and for the real battles, like IW and PFFEST, you will be using scroll of protection. Melee: you don't need even 4.

My mouse only has 7 buttons, I need IA V to be able to play mage style with only 1 hand (arenas only). This is really important to me, since I usually do something else with my left hand while playing HV (like answering messages on my phone, or using the keyboard shortcuts of any other app I'm using while playing).

How I usually play:

(in linux mouse keys and hover works on browser even if it's not the active window, but for each cast of protection I need to click on the browser to make it the active window, and then click again on whatever other app I'm using, two additional clicks per cast :c)

Yes, one cast is enough for most arenas, but the last three needs one additional cast (or two very close to the end in DwD if enigma didn't triggered at least once), it isn't much but each additional cast mess up my pace and makes me frown (and the cost is half of DDI iirc), but yeah I'm more inclined to DDI.

Haven't tried skipping on SS or Haste, maybe I'll try it tomorrow.

0% remain. And the recognition that a single level of Assimilator needed 20 level to increade the difference between my level and the proficiency level by 1. So i am actually sure that it isnt worth it to buy just a single level of assimilator. Either save your credits and dont buy it in the first place, or buy at least two. Even when i dont know how long it would have took me if i had trained two because i only did train one. And i am talking about level 6.

50 Amnesia Shards(with Dark Descent ) spent and still cannot get Pene+Splw at the same time.

You don't have safety issues without haste and SS? Wouldn't no SS result in a lot of SoL procs?

I already tried it, and yes, it doesn't work. Removing even a single one (either SS or haste) makes you too fragile, it adds so much as 1-1:30 minutes more in my clear times (for an 8 minutes run 1 more minute is huge) too much auto-stops because of low hp and SoL procs. Maybe you can make it work for lower difficulties, but not in PFUDOR, at least not with my level/equipment/forging. :c

Trying to IW my other 50k new gears so that I'm at least not naked other than wearing a swimsuit. Increasing my attack damage by 27% and adding 7% to my parry has enabled me to rush through PFUDOR IW and break even on spirit draughts, whereas before spirit shield in the latter half caused a major drain on supply. I've always used many times more health and mana draughts, but those seem to drop at least three times more often so I've never had trouble stockpiling them.

However with bad luck I'm still as squishy as ever to big hits, and since I foresee doing a lot of IW in the future I bought Vigorous Vitality and Effluent Ether, my first combat related hath perks, to improve my defenses. They help a little but don't seem game changing.

Trying to IW my other 50k new gears so that I'm at least not naked other than wearing a swimsuit. Huh, are you using haste/SS in the last parts? Those are helpful for survival.

Haste isn't that helpful for survival if your play style is strictly 1h.

I use Haste and Shadow Veil from the very beginning of IW and most arenas. They help 1H survive just as well as any style, and are much more helpful for survival than Spirit Shield. The only reason you don't use Haste and Shadow Veil on 1H is that they slow down your offense very slightly, which at least in IW should not be your major concern until you are extremely high level.

I'm unlikely to ever die with Spirit Shield on, but you still want to minimize the spirit drain at low levels, and getting more HP and mitigation helps with this.
