Finished PFest, apparently getting 14% evasion increase helps (come from feather-weighting equips), at least I don't have to start chugging spirit potion until late 600-ish, and maybe I don't even need to use the elixir if I don't go past the featherweight expiration time. 9.5k adb 75.1pmi 70.4mmi 62.2block 23.8eva 59.4parry 20.6resist 1Leg slaugher 1 Leg Balance 3 Mag Slaughter forged 5. ps. I really need to change that smite shortcut... pps. and not even 1 mag equip drop, seriously (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/sad.gif) This post has been edited by Fudo Masamune: Sep 13 2018, 22:34

Trying new shield. 75.3 PMI 70.5 MMI 24.3 EVA 63.7 Block 59.8 Parry 20.6 Resist Shafted time to finish PFfest by one hour, mostly due to more stable connection, in reality only ~200 turns difference, but somewhat lower recovery item consumed. I think it's time to save up for more level in Crystarium and take some level in Tokenizer.

IW: Legendary Demonic Willow Staff of Destructionpen4-spell4 at the moment of posting. Let's see how this will end. edit: surprisingly well. In only 5 reforges, pen5 spel4. Now, shall I salvage my LARD? I think I will. Why? Why you ask? I'm curious if this LDWD will perform slightly better in PFEST than my other LDWD. My current has far superiour MDB, but with this one I will try to play 4+1 non-imperil style. 1% vs 90% dark proficiency on the staff. And if it doesn't, it's still a nice staff that will be for sale, fully forged and perfectly IW'd. Why not wait for a better LDWD with high MDB, EDB and prof? I'm doing that as well. (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif) Dude, I must be really bored with this game to try this! Edit2: 20m on forging materials thrown at a staff I will probably not use more than a couple of times... My assumption is that I can get most of that back on resale (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/unsure.gif) This post has been edited by DJNoni: Sep 14 2018, 13:39

I got enough pony figurines to unlock the orbital friendship cannon skill. Now it's time for me to level up again and to also go back to forging my magnificent force shield. (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/happy.gif) This post has been edited by PersonaFan08: Sep 14 2018, 22:19

I did a simple test to compare performance between a Rapier and a Shortsword. (IMG:[ imgur.com] https://imgur.com/mFSY0V3.jpg) - Both have the same IW and the same amount of upgrades. - I used Imperil in every round. - Hallowed Rapier + Infusion of Lightning - Shocking Shortsword + Infusion of Divinity - Test done on Friday (day of all elements). I measured the total time it takes to make all Arenas, plus 6 RE's and the Ring of Blood Flying Spaghetti Monster. Results: - With Rapier: 3h 04min - With Shortsword: 3h 11min As it can be noticed, even with a difference of more than 500 ADB, the Penetrated Armor makes a good difference in the final result. But the difference is not as great as I thought. (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif) The only big advantage of a shortsword is that you can buy a Peerless for a price much lower than a "top" rapier, and the performance is not that bad. (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/heh.gif) Someday I'll do the same test with a Peerless Axe of Slaughter (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif) (if I have one, of course (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/heh.gif) ).

This slows down GREATLY the Rapier. The only places where you gain speed are the SG arenas and FSM. In the other parts (more than 50% of the total time), you're wasting several turns/round (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif)

(IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/sleep.gif) Besides, I've been used to playing like this for a long time. (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif) And I've done tests (Arena and IW) to see if Imperil is useful or not for a Rapier, and in all the results the times I got were a little better with Imperil (a few seconds).

It does not slow down rapiers.

Yeah, I was going to say that. It's very true, always use Imperil. Toggling spirit will make you go faster as well but I like Orbital Friendship Cannon to blast the row of monsters.

If monster die even before getting the 2nd stack of PA, imperil does not change the number of hits necessary to kill that. It just adds a turn (where it could also get resisted).

It doesn't matter. Numbers of players have done tests on that. It's a fact, not an opinion.
