Your prof gained is mostly determined by your EXP gained. Low difficulty= less prof gain. Also if some of your profs are far behind, you won't take too much time catching up. Also a few melees' profs aren't a big deal at all.
The issue is that you are not doing the highest difficulty, so watever style you use is fine. And that's why you can play many styles at the same time. If you challenge all PFD, you won't have time and enough credits to spend on all styles. Sure it's your play style, but it's never recommended.

Even an Exquisite Rapier/Shortsword/Wakizashi is better than a Legendary Axe to play 1H.

It has better primary attributes than my legendary shortsword.

I shouldn't have to mention this.

I'll keep this thread on topic again by mentioning another accomplishment that I recently made which is reaching level 25 of scavenger.
