Attempted to complete a GF on IWBTH and died somewhere near round 650. I think I was just unlucky. Got hit with 3 attacks that SS absorbed and a 4th that sparked me, but I didn't have enough spirit left. Gonna try again when I get Jug5 on my gloves and maybe get DD1

I do not think so.

With 5 Peerless Protection I have 85.8%. Depending on which part of your set is not Protection, maybe there's the difference.

And even if my shield is not Protection (the PMI difference between a Protection and a non-Protection is small), shields in general are the least contributing to PMI (shield PMI < boots PMI).

Welp, I bought DD1 and did a little bit of IW on the gloves. Second attempt (Wind day this time):



CLEARED! That was expensive. After round 900 I kept running dangerously low on spirit and my pots/elixers just barely cooled down in time to save me. I have to go rest my hands now... (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/faint.gif)

no, it's only due to how PMI is added. the more you have, the less the increase will be. btw, 77% here and close to no forging.
