No, it's rather that just like everywhere the vast majority of people see me the evil everywhere and won't try to find out what others are trying to convey instead of taking their first impression of someone else's statements as an attack against them.

TBH, I didn't bother reading the rest of your post because it's tl;dr and relates to things I'm already aware about.
But you did forget to mention a few simple things that don't need a novel:

1. tenb does his best to improve the game, so if a change impacted you negatively he's all ears open as long as you're reasonable and bring solid evidence
2. he said that he'll improve that system further
3. sometimes we got to sacrifice a few small things for a better future (isn't it, obsolete equips and the shitton of kinds of artifacts that used to exist?)
4. it's easier to criticize/put at fault the infrastructure and the network than actively trying to find the source of the issue
5. don't forget that there's a bigger delay between two rounds, which involves no action at all and does reduce your average tps significantly, and maybe the old scripts were not calculating it the exact same way than monsterbation does
6. this is just a game dammit

So it's the last time I'm saying it: if you've got the feeling that the game is slower than before, then get some solid knowledge in how it all works, then build a solid file to issue to tenb.

I'm running a bit low on accomplishments. I'm trying to IW a dark staff without any success what so ever. I'm trying to do some grinding to get some credits to forge some dark equipment. Again, with very little success, as other things required some attention the last few days. I'm trying to get everybody to like me. I'm trying to get a peerless drop that sells for 100m. I'm trying. I really am.

Nothing much accomplished.

However - tonight I will do what I do every night. Tonight we'll be trying to take over the world!

That much should be investigated, and I suppose that persons like sicken can tell us more about how synchronization with the server works.

don't overestimate my competences, after all i'm just a street performer that happens to know how to code. i just wait for the page to throw a DOMContentLoaded event at me and have the script respond to it as quickly as possible, detailed knowledge of server-client interaction isn't instrumental to this

Anyway. Tried Grindfest, last until round 520 - then it becomes too hard to advance.
Remind me, please, how exactly Grindfest was tweaked in last patches?

Monsters are now stronger for high-level players, also at low difficulty. Much harder to kill in Grindfest. And drops are nerfed at anything below IWBTH. So PFUDOR is the only thing that is worth while

I see. I remember how can advance to round 800 with equipment far worse than I have now, so round 500 only is like a big step back (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

Finally got a decent IW on a third tier staff.

It'd been better with the 5 on the other side I guess.




Third tier staff though... but that's all I got.

EDIT: Salvaged the old third tier.

Forging helped quite a bit.
