QUOTE(BlueWaterSplash @ Oct 17 2017, 09:50) I had the same idea about mage and turns/second, but so far I'm still apprehensive. If I can't even purchase 1 piece of 1H gear, how can I hope to successfully get mage gear?
In average, each piece of my set costed 100-300k If you don't aim for endgame mage gear it gets surprisingly cheap, enough to clear Pfudor DwD

and how does the mage work in terms of economy ? when you dont give a damn about time and do for example SG arenas + T&T + REs at best daily, like i do, how does it go ? with my not really good 1h i just eat draughts and when shit get rly bad a potion from time to time, i guess mage is more expensive to work ? but ye im considering starting a mage too, so im curios. i finish DwD in about 40 minutes +-, and i guess i could maybe push it lower, but hey my attention is limited xD

Daily, i do the last 2 arenas, all the REs i can and if i have the tokens FSM. And yes, you chug mana pots & draughts like hell, an elixir from time to time, bit less for spirit. As you level up you'll consume less and do more damage, so it's not that much of a deal.

Let's take my starter mage build for example. 250k staff (not my current one, this one's 35M), cheap ass several hundreds k on 1 or 2 charged, the rest are self drops (2 mag). About 2M materials on staff forging, mostly proficiency and spell damage because the scrolls are cheap. So with under 4M, I could easily clear DwD 500 turns faster than my fully forged rapier + shield + full power with infusions. Might take a little time farming prof till you can do PFUDOR without triggering SoL every 2-3 rounds. But potion usage is substantially higher than 1H due to constant imperil spamming. tldr: If you don't care about time, a somewhat decent 1H build is much cheaper.

If you don't care about time, plate armor is also cheaper to obtain and repair than power armor. :3

I was saying today that I have big suspicions about the artifact drop being completely bugged in arenas and way below what it should be. I will try to lead studies regarding this when I have a bit of time.

Yeah. If time is not a problem, then shielding plate is certainly the cheapest to maintain and easiest to survive.

It's 26. According to wiki, training further will give benefit so small I won't feel it. 26.3% to 26.35% for ~120k, ugh...

25 reforges seems unlucky, what's the average number of reforges and shards to achieve but5/fat4 (or but4/fat5)? QUOTE(as013) Yeah. If time is not a problem, then shielding plate is certainly the cheapest to maintain and easiest to survive.
Perfect for a bottom feeder like me, then. :3 Except I don't have any shielding plate yet. At least I have plain legendary plate for most of my body, minus hands and feet. I'm gonna stop using 1H for now, my few power pieces made me run out of scrap metal. I could easily build it back though by playing on normal difficulty for a short while.

would you consider this unlucky enough to get a reforge? some people are more picky than others (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/heh.gif) 1-2 misses don't seem that bad to me to deserve a reforge, I spent about 20-25 AS

Boy am i glad that those times are behind me. (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif)

It always seemed progressively easier to me, it only was difficult in the jump to mage but that's obvious
