unrelated. but with a bad timing. me and a couple of friends of mine agreed on going to a 3-days long travel. yesterday one of them purchased the tickets. today a school called me to ask me if i was available for such a temporary assignment - call that i basically *have* to answer yes in order not to lose my already-low place.

Bad timing is bad, it suck man... I had to turn down a job once, because I already had a planned holiday, and they needed to hire someone NOW and couldn't wait for my return (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/sad.gif)

How long have you been studying? Everyone needs a 1 week holiday every 2 years, IMO. Minimum. Like, not just time off work, but actually GOING somewhere different to relax. And travelling for funerals/weddings/etc doesn't count.

It's actually a novella, but that sounds pretentious as fuck for a fanfic about colorful marshmallow horses. At 31k words, it's just above what I'd want to call a short story, but not quite long enough to hit the bottom edge of what I'd want to call a novel comfortably.

It may get an expanded edition in the future that will bump it more comfortably into novel range though.

I got several phone calls, and got to a bunch of interviews.

Well, afaik the definition about a short story is a story that is too short to fill a complete book and also be readable in a single act of reading. So, yeah, i agree it is not a short story. But also a novella, at least as i understand them, have to be readable in a single act of reading and 31k words is a bit much for a single act of reading, dont you think?
