Yet I saw several people with 8-9k adb or even DW clearing in 5000~ turns

In that case, you're probably doing something wrong with attack speed, evade, or just the order in which you attack the monsters.
Even I take less than 5500 turns.

EDIT:
That was the last time I buy a longsword in the auctions. Unless there is a Peerless Ethereal/Arctic Longsword of Slaughter someday.
