If you just want to rant, you don't need a stick. I have seen enough threads where people have normal conversations/discussions without being bothered (much) by noobs. Really i don't think this place changed much when karma was removed.

If you describe yourself as a predator, that means you need prey. So it seems reason #2 of my list does apply to you: you want your friends to fight, and your gang to win.

I have seen enough posts which may have resulted in lowering what little IQ I have. As far as Karma is concerned, I don't really care if it stays dead if it will only get resurrected to its old self. It didn't have enough sting, you know? If you haven't seen changes to this place, then you've been sheltered and I am somewhat envious and hope there's room under that rock. Your point #2 is valid everywhere. It's downright ubiquitous in every walk of life from corporations to little thuggies protecting their turf. I don't disagree with it at all because: human condition.

When i came here, negative karma was already removed, so i don't know about that. But the positive karma certainly didn't have that sting. (Although i once got someone pretty mad by giving him 1 karma with a disapproving message, hehe.)

Sorry for the confusion. I did want something like negative karma back. Just postitive karma sucked and did not deter stupid posts. I think that there should be something like negs reinstated which are independent of the whole HV/Power BS but that's just me and my brain is addled by lack of sleep.

I do like the idea of pos+neg karma, and i agree that it's silly to relate it to power in a game. But without consequences, i doubt negative karma will be effective.

You could take posting away from users with a too low karma level, but i think that goes to far...
