That guy held an auction recently. Auction ended, people payed (totaling about 3~4 mil C). He didn't deliver. Considering that there was (apparently) a lot of good stuff in the auction and his low level (Level ~100 getting stuff people over Level 300 would want?), it's almost definitely a fraud.

There needs to be some kind of reverse COD to prevent stuff like this. An order form if you will. One where you enter an equip's URL and attach a payment or trade item. Like a COD, the payment would only be validated if the unlocked equip or item was relinquished.

And instead of a blinking letter icon, these order form messages would be indicated through a blinking clipboard icon.

And these messages would have the option to unlocked the desired item right there on the page.

And messages you are completely unable to comply with (item no longer in you possession) would be displayed with red text on the index page.

And the subject field for order form messages would be locked, automatically set to read out the desired item for whatever payment. To prevent dickery on the sender's part.

And the option to return order form to sender with a note for streamlined haggling.

And the option to return all red text order forms to their senders with a "I no longer have that" note attached at the press of a single button.

EDIT: And users could have to option the deny order forms from being sent to them at all or blacklist annoying senders.

I just try to calculate the opportunities. If we have for example 6 drop, from this x percent chance is the artifact and y percent is the equip, by increasing y... that's bad for x (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) Anyway, everyone's own decision how to play or train, i'm fine with this : )

So Quartermaster increases equips and reduces other drops (including artifacts)
Archaeologist increases artifacts and reduces other drops
Scavenger increases ALL drops

I'm going to stick to my order forms idea. Granted, I already request a CoD transfer whenever possible, I even ask in my sig with colorful graphic to let me use let me use a CoD when buy from me. But I think that aside from the protecting users from fraudsters, order forms would the streamline the shopping experience for everyone.

Every time someone wants to buy something from, I have to first make sure the item in question is unlocked via the forge or inventory screens, then go back to the message, click reply, attached the desired equip after finding it on what can be very long list, enter the CoD, double check the CoD to make sure it has the right number of digits and then send it.

If we had order forms, all I would have to do is review it, and then hit accept or decline, possibly adding a little note if it's the latter incase I want to haggle or explain that it's not for sale.

Order forms would be convenient for buyers as a well. The would only have to enter URL of the desired item to auto find the owner to send it to (which you should already know if you have the URL), and make an offer that's not be restricted to one from as payment. You could offer to buy an equip with a combination of credits, GP, Hath, valuable items, or even another equip.

Hold on, give me a chance to make a mockup to show you what I mean...

This Hyperweaponking fellow was level 100, there was no way he'd have all those items unless he was faking or multi-accounting. As I hate multi-accounters, I chose not to bid on his junk. Lucky me! Tenboro should post the list of banned users and their new user names, just for public shaming. I see new users from Aug/Sept 2013, already level 300 and mass buying equipment in auctions. LOL

You can also attach one item or equipment piece by using the "Attach Item" or "Attach Equipment" buttons. When you have chosen an item to attach, you can set a CoD amount for it. If set, the receipent will have to pay this amount in order to remove the attachment. You don't have to set a CoD, and items will in that case be considered a gift.

The original intent was that people would use CoD for all transactions. They didn't because of the cost, assuming that Tenboro would get involved if someone started scamming, but he actually had said that he wouldn't. Was this ever officially revised?

In any case, CoD is much cheaper now due to Postage Paid (10 hath vs 5,300 hath for the entire Penny Pincher series.)

No matter what is done people are going to complain. About the cost of CoD, about the return on postage paid, about anything that they can think of. It is good that guy was caught, but it would have been nice if it hadn't needed being done.

I just finished with that order form mockup.

It got a little messy and I forget to put in a 5th tap at the top so "write new" would still have a link, But I think you get the idea.

Really starting to wish that I could attach images in HV Release notes and system. Look at what photobucket did to my pristine png...

I know people who have put in over 1,000 tickets and still not even come close to winning.
Myself one day used all i had and put in over 2,000 thinking ok i have a shot at 5th place....

Hell look around, if there was other ways to donate than people would.
The only way to donate is "Bit coins", yet not every body knows how to get, buy or just in all how to even use it.

To make it simple, more ways to donate more donations.

Oh than there is the get GP by uploading thing, but even so, that takes a long time.
People have better luck just buying GP with what money they have, than using it for hentai, or tickets but when it comes to tickets...you're still fucked, unless you spend a few 500k on just GP for tickets.
