Even the simplest melee is more involving than mage. Try this on for size:

Bring back the single target spells, and make them STRONG—one for each element which upgrades as you unlock their multi target equivalents. Multi targets deal less damage the more enemies they hit. Buff the spell procs and give them an additional buff based on proficiency. Breached Defense should also lower physical mitigation and Blunted Attack should be changed altogether, lowering monster regeneration rate.

Before 0.77 I was heavy melee with estoc. Now I have become DW(club/rapier) with light(fleet/SD) shade armor.

I don't know if it is the new difficulty which is making me use light armor now. However as heavy melee (Estoc/Power) I have to CURE often but as DW/light melee, the arenas are no problem to complete. (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

I might be tempted to jump back into HV if I could get Brass (titanium? Cardboard? Knuckles as two-handed weapon...lots of stun chance, maybe 3/4 to 1/2 the damage of mace. Has +STR (High), +END (Mid) and +Dex (low) and yea. With low burden but moderate interference.
That would be cool.

Legendary Ethereal Cardboard Knuckles of Slaughter; with zero chance to spawn with Vampire, Ithilid, Banshee or Battlecaster. But can be Swiftness.

My leg estoc is forged, however not ethereal. (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/sad.gif) It is parried very often and my power armor has become a heavy burdened glass armor. (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/anime_cry.gif)
My DW set is complete ethereal but not forged, unlike yours (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif). And I know that your light armor is also much better than mine. (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/dry.gif) But the defense stats from my shade sets are more helpful than the offensive stats from my power set.

So it is just logical that I have switched toward DW with light armor. (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)
