Well, people keep saying (or rather, implying) it's too powerful. The Numbers™ do to some extent back up the perceived woe of the black-and-white mage. But at this point, it's somewhat more likely that I do a pass on monster mitigations, as there are some imbalances there.

So, I revise my earlier question - does the new partial resist mechanism only apply to monsters? Once again I took no damage from a resisted attack (Trio and the Tree on pfudor):

That's what it was showing for me every time I resisted an attack too. I just now finally saw:

23 2 Cicco casts Depth Fantasia, and hits you for 2214 wind damage (75% resisted)

^It's the first time I've seen the percentage resist on the battle log (I normally don't watch the battle log hardly at all though, unless I'm looking for something specific or testing something).

I like the new "base value" tooltip, it's handy. But there's something odd about it: the base value shown is modified by the upgrades made to the stat, while it should actually be a fixed value.

Otherwise it would be of little help when weighing the odds of salvaging a piece of equip to transfer the materials on one with higher base values.
