QUOTE(Dark_Force_0 @ Sep 27 2013, 01:21) So.......... scan no longer shows negative base damage mitigation (stat) numbers!!? OK, tested. Took a crappy axe to normalfest and found a daimon and a sprite with the same level: CODE 8 1 You hit Pannya for 2042 slashing damage. 7 1 You crit Pannya for 3656 slashing damage. 6 1 You crit La Bellezza Della Rosa for 2717 slashing damage. 5 2 You hit La Bellezza Della Rosa for 1834 slashing damage. 4 1 You hit Pannya for 1979 slashing damage. 3 1 You hit La Bellezza Della Rosa for 2423 slashing damage. 2 2 Scanning Pannya... HP: 7164/7164 MP: 94/790 SP: 229/797 Monster Class: Beast, Power Level 756 Monster Trainer: damemo Melee Attack: Slashing Fire: +14% Cold: +51% Elec: +32% Wind: +51% Holy: +32% Dark: +32% Crushing: +25% Slashing: +0% Piercing: +0% 2 1 You use Scan. 1 2 Scanning La Bellezza Della Rosa... HP: 7439/7439 MP: 307/883 SP: 224/844 Monster Class: Daimon, Power Level 993 Monster Trainer: Setebos Melee Attack: Piercing Fire: +60% Cold: +60% Elec: +60% Wind: +60% Holy: +16% Dark: +50% Crushing: +0% Slashing: +0% Piercing: +0% (in theory it should be -25%, -25%, -25%) 1 1 You use Scan. In theory a daimon shall have Slashing mitigation -25% and a sprite 0% but Pannya get more damage (~7% more damage): attacks on Pannya: (/ (+ 1979 (* 0.75 3656) 2042) 3) = 2254 attacks on La Bellezza Della Rosa: (/ (+ 2423 1834 (* 0.75 2717)) 3) = 2098 (- 1 (/ 2098 2254)) =~ 7% 7% is within the 10% of the normal variation of the damage roll. I do not know the actual variation of the damage roll, 10% is just an upper limit (as otherwise breached defense would be meaningless). Conclusion (TL;DR): I suspect that it is not scan that do not show the negative mitigation, instead any negative mitigation is treated as zero mitigation for all purposes. PS: @damemo, is Pannya an analogy to the Polocrois series?

So in other words, things that "should" be weak now round up to 0?

Apparently yes. Yet I did only two tests (the one above and another one later) 'til now.
If it's really true it's a buff to celestials, daimons, elementals and (to a lesser extent) low level undead.
On the other hand, every good melee uses an ethereal weapon so there's no real difference.

Yeah, not like we use anything but ethereal anyways, lol. But if that is true, that is one HUGE buff. For the monsters. This post has been edited by MikukoAya: Sep 27 2013, 07:11

QUOTE(treesloth16 @ Sep 21 2013, 16:56) She?! Girls play this game??!?! (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/ohmy.gif) Yes. Some of us broadcast it for everyone to know, like Wolfgirl, and some of us just don't care for the massive amount of attention. Yes, I'll admit it, but this post will only be seen by the active forum folks and it's not like it's going to get me freebies. Oh, and before you ask, yes, girls watch porn, too.

Fixed a couple of issues with negative mitigations. (One case where it could happen but shouldn't, and one where it couldn't happen but should.)

@treesloth16: Although porn is more male-centered, approx. more than one third of the watchers are female.
But that doesn't apply to forums, though.
