QUOTE(skillchip @ Sep 14 2013, 16:32) Also with these changes what is the new ratio between common/rare?
Should be 98/2 base.

QUOTE(FiniteA @ Sep 14 2013, 18:41) The best potency for staff still is EC5?
Probably, but after seeing the amount of resists in PFUDOR, I'm curious about Penetration and Counter-Resist in general. I wonder if Lightning (i.e., Deep Burns) could be the best non-holy/dark element for this difficulty... It would be nice if Aether Shards also gave a small Counter-Resist bonus, but that's probably not going to happen.

Um... is the lottery stuck? How long does it take to give out fabulous prizes exactly?

Is the counter-resist % direct subtraction or just by factor?

Melee can't defend much, FULL RESIST IS GONE NOW! 1H now lost one of it's advantage, EVERYONE CAN HAVE OVERWHELM! melee-ing isn't so cool now (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/sad.gif)

Well, I think I just figured out why I seem to be doing so much better on PFUDOR with my DW/Light than others of similar levels who are using 2H/Heavy.
Because everything does so much more damage, just having more mitigation doesn't do so much.
On the other hand, we DW/Light users are actually able to evade/parry so many of the attacks that we really don't need to worry so much about even getting hit. Sure, if we get hit we take more damage... But we just don't get hit often enough for it to be an issue!
Dunno about using 2H/Light though. Probably similar to DW/Light, but focused solely on evade and not parry.
So hey, Heavy was indirectly nerfed by the new difficulty! yay~

QUOTE(Anomtai @ Sep 15 2013, 02:51) Um... is the lottery stuck? How long does it take to give out fabulous prizes exactly? I guess so. For me the lottery still have yesterday's Leg Katalox staff as the prise and, what is worse, I cannot buy a ticket for today. Tenboro, look at that EOD script once again, pretty please. PS: I haven't posted yet in this thread, therefore let me reinforce that your work on HV, Tenboro, is appreciated.

I'll tell you right now that DW is way better defensively than non-mace two-hand. I can pretty much faceroll the new difficulty with DW/light but estoc/light takes a lot of paying attention. Also you probably feel stronger because you use a club and don't really have to deal with parry anymore. I just finished a few arenas with mace/shade and it's still slow but it plays pretty smoothly without constant parries. Still not close to the efficiency of estoc though. I wish I had a better mace to try though, both mine aren't that great...

I got a Leg eth mace slaughter. After yesterday testing, the mace preform much slower around the first 100 rounds. However, after hundred rounds, too many attention (cure) need to pay when using estoc which make it really slow. For mace, still keep going constanly. Finally this situation comes to fair may be after 150 rounds, mace still need some cure. Well, the result is mace needs mush more spirit portions (it takes me around 5 spirit and 3 mana to reach 200 rounds in GF) For estoc, it takes me around 2~3 spirit and all other mana to reach 200 rounds. The interesting point is, both of them take me nearly the same amount of time to reach 200 round. (My estoc is full forged and non-forged mace, just for reference)

I like the idea to change fixed bot check to uncertainty, same effect, less cost to player.

I'm using a scythe and light right now. The new difficulty wasn't that bad though it was harder than I had first expected. Tenboro, how much would it be to buy an item that turns any longswords I get into scythes XD

Oh great! Now all my power armor, including the new Leg piece I acquired not so long ago, are now obsolete... (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/cry.gif) And damn... The monsters in the new diff setting sure has insane amount of parry! (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/ohmy.gif)

Okay, where and when was I able to read that? I didn't no that there was a warning. Thanks in advance for the answer.
