Am I missing something here? Aside from the really low PMI, this looks good.
There are only a few decent 0.77 Mag Phase stuffs lying around for sale.
We should also take into consideration how much the buyer needed that equipment.
Who knows? Maybe this is the last missing piece the buyer needed to complete his set.

In another related question: Why do people overbid for equip like this: Magnificent Phase Gloves of Heimdall, when it is not even ExqMax? Does forging higher PXP stuff yield better returns than equal valued stats of lower PXP items?

Lots of people will just see the "Magnificent" in the name and go ape shit thinking it is super good and that they have to have it.
Most of them not knowing that there is shit Magnificent's out there that even a Exquisite can be better than.

Now there is that and also people become stupid in a bid war most of the time and before they even know it they are over paying for the item, it's happen to me a few times.

Really if you are gonna maybe go crazy and Bid on something in an auction, know the item and know how good it can really be.

Just a few tips i go by.
- Know the item.
- Know about what the high end is for what they run for.
- If you have seen better on Exquisite's for the same item, it might be a shit mag.
- If it go's over 1mio and is a Magnificent well it better have tons of bindings and be max level.

Also i have did that before when i got my first Laptop "NEVER" Get a laptop from Walmart.
They are shit and Walmart takes things out of the box that are to be in there.
Like the windows installation/recovery discs and the power cord.
My first one i paid for had "NO" power cord in the box but had the windows installation/recovery discs.
I took them out, took the laptop back and got a other one of the same kind, it had the power cord in the box but did not have the windows installation/recovery discs in it.
Good thing i keep them from the last one.

After that shit and my laptop broke I gone to BestBuy got a good one and got them to upgrade it.
That's the same one i use to this day.

Proficiencies + gears are more important than level-factor, IMHO.

That's just a sign that someone wants to upgrade a monster as soon as they can. Unless some idiot actually bids more than the minimum, it's a non-issue for everyone.
