If I understand correctly, the flat 10% from Dæmon Duality is more effective than the counter-resist gained by Eminent Elementalist?

QUOTE(Ichy @ Nov 20 2013, 22:48) Eila called, she is hungry (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif) We've been through this! Don't make me smack you!! If a gage labelled Hunger is empty that that would imply that the monster is not hungry and doesn't need feeding. If Tenboro wanted an empty gage to indicate that your monster needed feeding he'd have labelled it Energy Level or something. Since all my witches have an empty hunger gages that means they're all well fed and looked after. I don't know what's in the monster food that causes monsters to get hungrier after eating it, but it's clearly not good for them. If you care about your monsters you should stop feeding it to them immediately. I certainly would feed Eila stuff that dropped on the floor.

I wanted to scan Kazane Hiyori again to confim she'd dropped off the Top 50, but she wasn't showing up. So I tried to rename one of my monsters to that name... yep, she was unnamed. And Asakusa-ito hasn't been active since February 2013. So much for my kidnap and ransom plan... (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/dry.gif)

WTH is happening to the bitcoin. $750USD/coin? Bitcoin will never be a currency, EVER. I would be too scared to buy one for use.
Tenboro, can you find another way for us to donate, please? Paypal??

What's happening is that there was a hearing about cryptocurrencies in general and Bitcoin in particular in the US senate, and remarkably it was [ online.wsj.com] very [ www.telegraph.co.uk] positive..

I am under the impression that strong uptake in China has something to do with this current rise as well. QUOTE(treesloth16 @ Nov 22 2013, 00:27) WTH is happening to the bitcoin. $750USD/coin? Bitcoin will never be a currency, EVER. I would be too scared to buy one for use.

You make it sound like you think you can only buy whole bitcoins, but you can convert any amount of money into the currency. This post has been edited by n125: Nov 22 2013, 11:28

I know how bitcoins work; I don't need to buy whole bitcoins, I can just buy fractions. I was referring to the possible usage of bitcoins; i.e. buy some amount of bitcoin(s) for purchases at the store, gas station, cafe, what-have-you, like this lady (at $56USD/coin): [ www.forbes.com] http://www.forbes.com/sites/kashmirhill/20...expense-report/But everyone is treating it like some commodity rather than currency, and its volatility is preventing its use as a currency. I think it was something to do with the fixed number of coins in existence. This post has been edited by treesloth16: Nov 22 2013, 13:07

Was just getting ready to finally donate and saw the price rising rather quickly. Apparently the hearing has sparked a bubble. [ www.forbes.com] Forbes says BC will be batting $1000$1000 bitcoins. Yeaaaah. If the madness lasts for any length of time or it settles back down at a rather high price it might just be time to finally get one of those dedicated miners from BFLabs. [ arstechnica.com] They make them for noobs like meAnyone on that wagon yet? Not much of an initial investment for the expected return, which always means caution buyer beware to me.

It be nice, there is lots of people who would donate if they did not have to do it by Sh-bitcoins. QUOTE(Tenboro @ Nov 22 2013, 01:22) What's happening is that there was a hearing about cryptocurrencies in general and Bitcoin in particular in the US senate, and remarkably it was positive..
Well that can come down to point of view really. If they go up, they start to cost more so people wanting to buy them would have to pay more for them would they not? Now yes i can as well see how it can be positive for you Tenboro, you are the admit and you make i bet most of your money by Bitcoins. (On here at least) If they cost more you get richer and richer by people donating them to you. However there is still a percent in there that it can all go south. If they cost more and people stop buying them or donating than you can lose money.

Seeing as we use that for server upkeep, we can't really keep it in magical internet money for too long.
