1 hour ago:    As the deadline passed, about 7000 monsters were forced into early retirement. You'll have to make due with the 42086 remaining ones.
5 days ago:    Final heads-up: In less than four days, monsters that haven't been fed or upgraded for 180 days will start to be deactivated and un-named.

Apparently I have a very optimistic and self-sustaining critter, considering I haven't touched the game in like a year and a half:

There were about 200 monsters that had a name but weren't activated for some reason, those also ended up being un-named. That one appears to have been one of them. Why, I have no idea.

I've also been hit by it apparently. Luckily it hit my "Cody -easily bored- Travers" monster which name I was not that fond of in the first place, so I tried renaming him to "Cody Travers" - success (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif)
