If you split a given number of tickets across five accounts, you have the same win chance for the grand prize but could win up to five prizes instead of one. Now let's say you buy 2n tickets each from 5 accounts, and one of the accounts wins first prize. The tickets held by the winning account are invalidated, and the drawing proceeds to the second round with 8n of your tickets still active. If you'd bought n tickets each across 10 accounts instead and won first prize, only 1n tickets would be invalidated, and you'd still have 9n tickets in play for the second round, or +1/8 the total number of tickets bought, for "free." The more accounts you split the tickets across, the fewer the number of tickets invalidated each time you win. This post has been edited by mechafujoshi: Oct 26 2013, 02:23

Why would you reveal the secret so openly???? Though that's the highly inefficient version, multi-account, illegal version.

Do you really want to trust nine people you're "colluding" with? If they win a big prize, they'll probably back out and keep it. The grand prize has to be worth >50% of the total spent on the lottery for the average return per ticket to be positive at all. Lottery # 41's total was about 117 million credits at the current 24-hour average GP price (873047 kGP * 134 c/kGP). Can the staff be sold for 58m credits? Maybe. That would still only be the break-even point, and at 134; during the lottery, the GP price went up to 150 or so. Lottery # 42 was one of the less popular. 10305 * 134 = 1.38m. Can the Legendary Fiery Shortsword of Swiftness be sold for 690k? Maybe. It's theoretically possible to get enough of the money-having public to collude that an item goes for cheap, but difficult in practice. The main reason I suggested a pot-only lottery, like in real life, was so that the administrator wouldn't have one more thing to keep watch on, namely that weapon lottery items weren't starting to go too cheaply, which in turn requires keeping up on the WTS weapons market all year long to make sure you can make a current accurate estimate. Guess you haven't caught on, after all. Now I need to find out how to contact the people-or-person without directly doing so. They might think it's a scam if I go to them first so they have to come to me.

Great point, if the risk of being banned is less than the profit from Lottery, I think it is reasonable for some people to risk their account to apply this strategy. Any idea to against it? Cancel the limited of one prize lead to more complain as well as increase the profit gain of investing tons of GP. QUOTE(qw3rty67 @ Oct 26 2013, 01:44) Guess you haven't caught on, after all.
There is just one tenboro, he can't spend whole day in catching every kind of cheater. The best way is still reduce the profit their get.

I disagree with several issues.
1. pot-only lottery will cause the same collusion issue; the issue is cause by 'one prize per account', so unless you're going to change this, it will happen in any suggested systems.
2. I don't think colluding is an issue to Tenboro in the big picture. Note that the lottery's a GP sink, the GP returned to the players is from other players. So no matter what the actual price of the equips is, 50% of the GP is still lost to the system. It achieves its target. Also, you can't transfer GP directly through the accounts, so you need to transfer credits to other accounts. It leaves extra trace to multi-accounting. Is that a good idea for those with tons of GPs to risk their well-trained accounts for just more GP reward?
3. Whether or not to invest a lot in the lottery is a game-theory issue. Players can always collude to, say buy 1 ticket daily per player, trick the system. But if you can generate a large amount of GP daily. What's the motivation for you to join this collusion? You can always use your resource to crush others' hope.

I agree with you commonly, people won't do this in every lottery. Risk>profit. I still want to point out that when there is a godlike peerless, like PARD.., in the lottery, even a rich guy may have to risk most of his GP to win it. Asking his friends or even muti-accounting maybe a better way to minimize his lost. However, in General, beside encouraging muti-account, the strategy leads to no harm (even a little benifit accourding to your statement). I think no need to waste time for it since Tenboro has much more important work to do. (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif)

This is probably what goes on mostly, but nothing illegal about it. I need to make friends (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) By the way, I'm a little late: 7 days ago: PSA: If you don't like your account, installing random Chrome plugins that let people proxy off your connection is an excellent idea. Did some people get the ban hammer?

If proxy ticket buying is legal, might as well start hanging your shingles out in WTS. You take x% of the credits to be spent buying GP, and the largest job offer by your deadline gets your services for that day. Best to keep a slush fund of GP on hand so you don't have to buy it all at once.

Spirit points are draining a lot faster, it would appear. Not sure exactly why. They seem to be connecting more often with massive attacks.

No. It just gives you a buffer for potions/gems. This post has been edited by varst: Oct 28 2013, 13:28

But according to wiki and patch' description: QUOTE Increases your maximum mana by 25%. not "Increases your maximum mana recovered by pots/gems by 25%." So will it temporarily increase your in-combat maximum mana or not? If the answer is "not" then its price is too high IMHO. I mean for those who don't shit haths. (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/ohmy.gif)

I believe what that perk does is increasing your maximum mana (probably after all others bonus from ability, item potency...) while keeping your base mana the same. Gems/potions restore a percentage of base mana so without the perk, at higher levels of the "Better mana pots" ability (which enable a mana pot to restore more than 100% of your full mana bar, for example base + 90% MP Boost@Level 9 of Mana Tank) you will have to either cast some passive spells right away or let the excess regen goes to waste. With the perk, you get a buffer for those excess regen so you should be able to utilize it better later (I'm just echoing varst here).
Same goes for the perk associated with spirit I think.
