Trying to finish some of my older games as per one of my little New Year's resolutions.
Mainly been playing Wild Arms 5 (PS2), tracking down the remaining treasure chests. I made a breakthrough a few days ago, and found nearly all of the ones I was missing...
But now I have 2 left, and I don't know where the hell they are. They could be in dungeons, or they could be somewhere on the World Map. I put together a checklist, so almost every dungeon (excluding, like, 4) is out, and I thought I scoured the World Map pretty thoroughly, but if that were true, I wouldn't have found 4-5 more chests in random spots. Goddamnit.
Otherwise, trying to finish Chocobo's Dungeon 2 (PS1). Apparently, I stopped on the Final Dungeon. In my defense, it didn't really look like it was the last dungeon in the game; I thought I was still 2 or 3 dungeons away. Going into the Forest for the second time didn't really strike me as 'Final', but once you get past the 5th floor or so, it starts turning into a water cave, then a catacomb, then... Well, I keep getting wiped out around floor 11-13, so I don't know what's next.
A little Monster Hunter Freedom Unite (PSP) and Monster Hunter Tri (Wii) when my friends ask to play. I'm not burnt out on the series (pretty sure I'm not), but the initial honeymoon period is finally over, so I'm not obsessed with playing them anymore either.
I was playing Dragon Quest IX: Sentinels of the Starry Skies (DS) in short bursts, using the DS's sleep mode, but I'm probably done with it for now. Now I'm abusing the sleep function to do Professor Layton and the Unwound Future (DS) puzzles. It's wonderful being able to keep the game on for weeks and generally put in less than 2 hours of playtime in that entire period. A total waste of resources, but still nice.
