Three day weekend, I won't be working until Tuesday. In theory, that means I could at least try to finish another game on my backlog.
Speaking of backlogs, I can't recall how it happened, but I stumbled across this site; [
www.backloggery.com]
The Backloggery. It's pretty much what I've been doing here but in a more organized format. I'm debating on making an account, but I have some reservations. After all, if I were to transfer my efforts to something like that, I might lose motivation by having a site doing some of the work for me. Plus I like ranting a bit on many of the games I've played. As well as this topic being one of the only things on the forum that I'm somewhat consistent with. And now this is rambling on a bit too long.
Monster Hunter 3 (Wii) still. I'm playing pretty casually at this point, mainly just waiting for the Giant Deviljho event. As well as for my friends to reach HR 50 so they can struggle with Alatreon, but that could very well never happen (they're not known for persistence in games).
Dragon Quest IX: Sentinels of the Starry Skies (DS), perhaps too much. I've played far past the others in the story, so I really should give it a rest for a while. I can just check the VC store daily, round up some alchemy reagents and sell them for money, avoiding battles and further outpacing everyone. .-. I just don't want everyone else I'm playing with to lose interest, because it would be nice to actually finish an RPG in one go, rather than setting it aside and finishing it years from now. :/
Every time I go to the 28th floor in
Etrian Odyssey II: Heroes of Lagaard (DS), I find myself raging by the time I head back to town. I can't seem to find the right pathway to actually
advance a floor. I've gone through no less than 5 'stairways' on that freaking floor, only to find myself on floor 27, which is filled with damage floors, a few FOEs, and little else. I'll give it a few more tries, but if I can't figure out where I haven't gone within the next week, I think I'll look at a guide. I've been stuck here for more than two months of real time, and it's finally wearing me down a bit.
That's actually it, thinking about it. I think I'm going to play some more
Terranigma (SNES) now, and try to get through that dungeon in Spain or whereever it was I was stuck last. .-.
Feeling really antsy. I wonder if I'm cracking a bit from stress?
Edit: I'm kinda surprised. I somehow completely forgot to mention that I beat the story mode of
Dokapon Kingdom (Wii) this week. I think forgetting that I made any kind of progress speaks volumes, though on what I don't know. I won't rant on how frustrating I found the second-to-last boss (though I could), I'll just say the RNG in the game really got on my nerves once I realized how it worked.
I should probably add Dokapon to my Completed List, but it can wait.
