Switching between Heroes of Might and Magic V and Sword of the Stars: A Murder of Crows, depending on mood and time available.

Kingdom Hearts: Birth By Sleep, and I would 101% recommend this to anyone who likes the KH series. Just completed Ven's story and starting Aqua's.

I want to get this out of the way first. I don't regularly play Metroid games, only having played Super Metroid on the SNES (Virtual Console, really) and Prime 3 on Wii for all of 2-3 hours. Despite that, several of my friends are big Metroid fans and due to that, much like Gundam, I've picked up a fair amount of information just by being around them.
I watched a good friend of mine who I have known since Kindergarten play Metroid: Other M (Wii).
That game FUCKING SUCKS. It's indescribably awful as far as Metroid games within the series go. I won't rant about it, I'll only say that gameplay-wise, it's passable. It really shows that Team Ninja (The Ninja Gaiden/DoA dev team) were responsible for it, as it plays like Ninja Gaiden SigmaBlackHDportwhathaveyou. That's not my complaint. The story makes no sense, the characters are largely forgettable, and Samus as a character is surprisingly inconsistent with how she'd been established in previous Metroid lore.
An easy example and currently one of the most-cited; by the time of Other M, Samus has defeated Ridley a minimum of 3 times. Not even taking the Prime series into account, she's killed or driven him off in Metroid 1/Zero Mission, Metroid 2, and Super. So why, upon seeing him again in Other M, does she have an emotional breakdown and freeze solid for roughly a full minute, gibbering and screaming and requiring outside help to pull herself together? What the fuck?
There's so much I could say about how horrible the game was, but I'll refrain.
Oh, he also beat it in about 10-11 hours. I know this because I saw aforementioned friend load up his save at 2:41 hours played, and then beat it before I left his house yesterday. I arrived around 4, he was done by 1 AM. With 48% Item completion.

In other news... I've been continuing along in Army of Two: The 40th Day (PS3) on a Hard mode playthrough. It's still been fun, not terribly frustrating despite numerous deaths. Haven't done much else with my PS3 recently; I put maybe around 2-3 hours into White Knight Chronicles (PS3), but that was mainly to kill time.
Monster Hunter 3 (Wii) by request, a little bit of Tales of Graces (Wii), though now with the announcement that it's getting an enhanced PS3 port, I'm divided on what I ought to do.
My DS has been on constantly for something like two weeks with Dragon Quest IX: Sentinels of the Starry Skies (DS). It's been pretty fun, mainly because I'm doing a lot of 4-person multiplayer with a friend, his brother, and their mother. I need to get back to My Japanese Coach.
Tomorrow the 3rd Professor Layton game comes out, and two weeks after that the 3rd Etrian Odyssey game. I don't have the money for either atm, but they're both high on my list. Almost the only things on my list, really.

Damn, that's really disappointing for me because I was looking forward to playing it (eventually, since I don't personally own a Wii.) Right now I'm playing RE5 again since the DLC was discounted 40% for a week.
