On topic, I started Grandia II (PS2) today, and played it for most of the day. Ryudo, the main character, is pretty neat, if only because as opposed to most RPG protagonists, he's a thug. I know he'll eventually peter off into compassionate idealist mode, but so far (The Skyway just blew me off-course) he's shown no major signs of change.

It's kinda refreshing, having a lead who admits to having an urge to kill the party and ditch the oncoming adventure. I'd really loathe him if he actually did, but...

Now that the PS3 port is being done for "The Last Hope", I'll finally get a chance to play the 4th one. Though so far I'd agree the 2nd one is best. I did like that I could fight Lenneth and Freya in the 3rd one though.
