Tenboro does what tenboro wants to punish bug abuse, it is not your place to question him. I personally expected deletion before confiscation though.

Last time people abused something he handed out 1 month breaks and was thinking about deleting ALL their gear.

Sad he punishes the ones that got it not knowingly. I always loved it when SA's tried to get people in trouble because they couldn't do there job well enough to learn about security. Same for programmers, they are not gods and can always be questioned. You might not like their answer though.
