QUOTE
South Korean police say they are investigating 60 people for distributing and translating ero-manga, quoting the ringleader as saying he did it because “all women hate me.”
According to Inchon cyber-crime investigators, the 19-year-old founder of a site concerned with distributing Korean language translations of over 1,500 “obscene” Japanese manga via torrent recruited the assistance of some 36 editors and translators.
Most of the distributors are said to be university students, and police also apparently identified a further 23 students who merely downloaded or shared the material.

Anyone got more details or know someone involved in this?

Well, the doujin artists are aware the situation. It won't last long until they ask to retire their works on E-Hentai, just like they do on Google.

That's why I ask a global /jp/ ban on this site. This is getting very fucking serious. Just like I predicted months ago on another topic.

Do you want to say banning access to the site from Japan? That would be a radical decision, but necessary maybe; however, Tenboro has the last word.

If you ban japanese ips the site would lose over half its users.

Yeah, I know, but that's the price one must pay. Some artists are also sending DMCA letters to Google regarding translations in foreign languages ([www.google.com] hello Yuka Nakajima/Digital Lover) not only on E-Hentai, but also on FAKKU! and the scanlator's websites.

In my case (Lateralus-Manga), I have to block access to Japanese IPs for the same reason.

If you block Japanese (or any country's) IPs, it will just make them mad and inspire more anti-foreign sentiment, and meanwhile they'll use proxy servers to access your site anyway.

Well, it's for a good reason, and it's funny to say that, since I'm against xenophobia.
Whether my site is visited or not by the Japanese, it's not a thing I should worry, unlike E-Hentai. It's just like I'm "washing hands".

Apart from E-Hentai, they have 2dbook, a japanese website.
