Is it possible for someone to create a script that pauses the game/makes it impossible to attack for 2-3 seconds after Spark of Life was triggered?
I don't see any rule against this and it would certainly satisfy me.

I do random encounters on IWBTH and even though I pay close attention (I have to, cause it's difficult), I often fail them mainly because I didn't manage to immediately stop attacking after SoL was triggered.
My agility has always been 40 points above my average primary attribute points and I think partly because of this I always had a generous time window to react before the patch.

No autopilot blind tanking on repeated Sparks.

Working as intended.

I think 'blind' may be bit of a misnomer since I generally always keep a close eye on the battle. 'Quick' might be more accurate in my opinion.

When it takes several dozens of turns to kill all the enemies (as it does with my equipment on IWBTH) and when each round can be over in a split second, I think it's a bit unreasonable to expect a player to wait and check their own health status after every single turn.
Just my 2 cents.

But I do admit that due to my slow connection and therefore relatively high latency (~180), I often do mash or even hold down keys for short periods of time, because the graphics simply load too slowly for me to wait every single turn. But I realize I'm the exception.

Anyway, if that SoL is really intended to be like this, then never mind of course.

(Hope I'm not sounding too whiny or repetitive here.)

Try HV Stat, there's an option for alerting a dialogbox upon SoL trigger.

Thanks, I didn't know it could do that.

It doesn't fully solve the issue I had with the new SoL, as it seems like my last action is still queued up, because my character often immediately attacks as soon as I close the dialogue box.
But it is still very helpful, since it is only one action at most that gets queued up apparently.

Apparently my assumption was wrong.

It still exacts 1 HP when died by SOL.

But there's a catch here :

We can cheat death by using Health Potion or Regen (by a small amount)

the issue can simply be solved by you not pressing and holding the 'R' or number buttons.

alternatively you can try playing with this: [www.dummies.com] http://www.dummies.com/how-to/content/set-...epeat-rate.html

Majority of manifested extension for chrome, like&including HVStat, will have that behavior. You need a single file .user.js

what do you actually watch during an iwbth encounter if not your own health? i hardly pay attention to anything else after putting up spells and scrolls, only watching my own hp bar and spell / scroll timers while clicking blindly on enemies

Try the settings:

Adjust key event handling not to overrun when an alert is shown

What do you mean by 'adjust key event handling not to overrun' ?

Would you care to explain in more details/or a mere commoner would understand ?
