QUOTE(Treia @ May 19 2013, 12:06) Very simple, and I'll say it again: You are not being successful.
Look at this thread. I am doing fine. Other mages are doing fine. Other people, higher level than you are doing fine. You are the only variable left. The problem is with you, what you've done, your build or your setup. But it's you.
Yeah maging works so well for me I gave up. While it is still playable all fun was sucked out. Why play a game if it is no fun?

QUOTE(Bunker Buster @ May 19 2013, 04:12) I'm not sure where your problem is other than "stop whining" in which case tough shit because there are a lot of problems with how the game was handled and there isn't any chance of any of that stopping because a lot of things are still not working.
I'm doing fine by your "standards". The game is much easier than before at a survivability standpoint. The game is just not fun, nor were any of the changes made to the game conducive to being actually interesting (I've suggested various ways to challenge the player through mobflags such as random magic immunities or Spark/Spirit-breakers and *gasp* creatures that randomly ignore armor which would throw a wrench into the standard Heavy immunity, but the exact opposite has happened in that monster damage was scaled much lower and resistances have been increased across the board). I have posted as much.
If any of this doesn't get through to your head (which won't be a surprise) you're pretty much not worth responding to.
Well you got your Spark and Spirit breakers right there. (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif) Spirit Shield doesn't proc anymore. SoL isn't worth using.. even running through TT @IWBTH it triggered once and I could have prevented it. So you're better off saving the mp upkeep and use it on healing instead.

I know you're being facetious, but breaking things through deliberate(?) changes != inbuilt rule changes in the game engine via specific monsters spawned in higher difficulties. The latter is something that happens because the player is both asking for it and that it's infrequent when they aren't. This is challenge. The former being done by breaking any functionality is just terrible game design.

Yeah, I expect SS at least will get some fix.. Or monster damage threshold will increase so it can trigger SS. It'll probably be the latter. But not before people start getting accustomed to this new version of hv. (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif) Btw. if hito says maging is broken and unplayable, then it most likely is. QUOTE(Treia @ May 19 2013, 12:29) I have some advice for your parent/guardians: Baby formula is full of nutrients and promotes strong bones, and muscle and brain cell growth. I suggest feeding your child/caretakee this in place of the usual milk, because deficiencies are caused by incomplete nutrition.

How does a baby doing better than you at your own kind of posts and your own kind of game make you feel, anyway?

More advice for your caretakers of whatever origin: Congratulations on teaching your child/caretakee motor skills! Be sure to limit the amount of playtime your child/caretakee has on a game console or computer! Too much time spent on either or both of these can cause insufficient physical and possibly social development that a child or emotionally undeveloped adult needs to function. If they're under the age of 13, please supervise their use and teach them how to be polite and kind to others using the Internet or XBOX Live/PSN. If you think that being able to do a fake IWTBH slowly is fine, then sure no one have any troubles. (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/cool.gif)

There are (presumably) adults who still need to drink from a bottle. This post has been edited by Bunker Buster: May 19 2013, 12:41

Seems that some glitches eliminated as I can do arenas without having to fear that after SoL has been activated the next hit kills me.
The game feels like a beta version. Tenboro is reading our complains and has already improved the new patch a lot. Wonder what more will come in the following days...
Despite of that I still have a few questions:
Playing a large number of rounds at lower difficulties will now reduce the monster drop rate for a period of time.
Does that number includes all rounds played? (Arenas, IW, GF)
Is it possible to show some numbers in our monsters bars? Or a least tell us the number of max morale/hunger.

One of many UI changes that need to be made. A more descriptive monster status is supposedly in the works for 0.77.
