Not sure if anyone mentioned this yet since searching through 45 pages is not happening, but the shrine still states you can only reach a max of +20 to primary stats.

The token cost for the more interesting ROBs is insane.

Been getting my ass kicked all over the place, but not surprised since I'm still getting used to the new spell system.

+1 for Mastery Point reset button, pretty please.

Aesthetic functionality request: can you make it so we can drag and swap abilities on the bars (make grouping things easier)?

Why Frenzy Blow is hit 3-5 hits instead of 20-25 hits before.
It's kinda useless skill for now, if it's normal for this update, it's very grieving for me (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/cry.gif)

And credits is more hard to gain, upgrade Lv6 Artifact drop is around 798k, but now it's change to 1.6m credits. Oops, I didn't touch 1m credits before, ha ha (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/ohmy.gif)

The good news with mage is that you survive a lot longer (with a great reduction in damage from enemies), and spirit shield is almost unnecessary with protection scrolls active. Bad news is that your magic damage is down. Way down. Even with Imperil maxed out and cast on all monsters, it still takes a long time to wipe out enemies, especially with the massive cooldown for T3 elemental spells. I would switch fighting styles but it would could 1m to reset the abilities. 1 step forward, 2 steps back.

Mage was good to play faster for people who didn't have much time or slow internet. Now I'm taking around 75 or so turns for 20 round arena.
Though I'm not sure how many turns it was, 80 round arena took me around 40 min to finish. Damage nerf really hurts.
Amount of mana spent increased much, using 3 or 4 heroic mana potions in 80 rounds, despite ether thefting often on cooldown turns + some focusing.
Having magic missle back would be nice. Using it on single enemies left was good for saving mana or proc ether theft.
It's also where I got a good chunk of my staff proficiency from. Whacking enemies in crude item world is very boring.
Agreeing with DemonEyesBob that token cost is steep.

yeah quite disappointing update for frenzied blow
and it only hits the 2 other monsters next to the target monster
hitting only 5 monsters max I only get around 7 - 10 hits per frenzied blow

Does the battle items restock when a monster drops a slotted item after each round ends
doesnt seem to restock after each round so I guess that was fixed, no more unlimited pots ? :/
  • reduce CD on Heal to 1 Turn, Full Heal to 3 Turns
  • cant spam imperil XD
  • where's the x-nerf - dont remove it :/

I can see 3 things which will improve life for mage:

1. Add another 8-16 slots quick bar so it will be easier to cycle between spells.
2. Reduce cooldown on spells. Supports/Dep to 2-3 turn max, offensive: Tier 1 - no cooldown, Tier 2 - 2 turns, Tier 3 - 3 turns.

There is far too many mobs which are only destructible with casting constant Holy/Dark. It is not possible to cripple very high mob(s) with pathetic elemental spells.

3. Make most (all?) depreciating spells all-casts or let them at least hit more than one mob. X-nerf was helpful. Now all Dep spells are pathetic, short, mana intensive and cooling down for ages. Using them is just waste of time (even maxed ones).

Before I could deal 600k tops to IWBTH FSM with imperil on, now I deal tops 100k...

That's banish VS Paradise Lost, btw.

So how are mages supposed to play when their offense is riddled with cooldowns and deals measly damage? (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif)

Another question: does Drain actually give you the health it steals? I'm trying to understand it since it also has the Spirit Theft which is supposed to be like Soul Harvest?

It isn't you, well at least for magic prof. I'm getting EQ/Weapon profs every other turn, but I've now cast at least 50 slows (where the fuck is my Imperil damnit!) and not one single 0.01 of deprecating proficiency. Likewise for supportive magic, which I constantly cast zillions of times.

yeah didnt see it much now, only saw 0.01 proficiency so far and it was quite rare -__-

ouch that sucks, quite a long wait to gain stamina normally
wait 3 days and come back to feed your monsters

The problem with spell cool downs?

When several mobs can laugh off your "high level" spell with no damage you basically just cut the balls off of holy/dark mages and made life VERY unpleasant for element mages.

Truthfully with the changes, ignoring the widescreen because it does not bother me at all, I don't think I am really going to bother playing HV unless something drastic like a rollback happens.

I however know very well Ten will never do a rollback.

Yeah, Energy Drinks are useless now, but Stamina only contributes to EXP gain, so it is kind of irrelevant. I realized that one of the biggest hit we've taken to Damage and Credit Drops is because of the revamped Stamina: basically it is like 0.75 at < 79 stamina. Loosing that 50% bonus to Credits and 25% bonus to damage hurts.

Lots of changes and I thank Tenboro for all his hard work. Still tweaking things but am able to make melee fighter work. Haven't yet used half my AP points so will try maging tomorrow. Version should be 0.80
