QUOTE(FiniteA @ Aug 22 2013, 15:36) Why the hath price go up by 1000 now?
Possible reasons: 1) Inflation speculation, switch credit to commodity 2) Human manipulation, if hath price is up, who retains lots of hath will have lots of joy 3) Hath perk demand increase Perhaps one or mix of above reasons. Will 10b investigate in? Or it is as intended?

QUOTE(wolfgirl of autumn92 @ Aug 24 2013, 11:39) Gold star is so tempting but I don't know how to use Bitcoins and I have better things to spend my money on. Now if this site ever became a pay site then yeah I will pay Tenboro, but until that happens or there is another way to donate, I will never be a gold star member and Tenboro will not have my money.
*fixed I just go to my local bank branch hand over some cash and then bitcoins appear in my bitcoin wallet. Its probably harder if you in are 'merica though. I don't entirely see the logic though, if you are unwilling to donate and get rewards then wouldn't you just find somewhere else if it became a pay site.

It was easy in the USA until the feds shut down mtgox. Prior, you could transfer money from your bank to Dwolla, where you can buy bitcoins on mtgox, then donate directly to Tenboro. All from home. Now it's a little harder... you have to withdraw cash, go to some location, call via some random red phone (like that campy batman show in the 80's), pay someone, whereby the money is then converted to bitcoin and sent to your bitcoin purse. And pray that the value of the bitcoin does not plummet by the time you get home. Then finally you can donate. This post has been edited by treesloth16: Aug 25 2013, 07:23

Now you got me curious. How volatile can it be?

It's not so volatile anymore, quite stable now. But about 3 months ago, bitcoins on mtgox went from $100 per to $65; there were several reasons if I remember correctly. My thoery is that the US govt trying to kill the bitcoin, probably for political reasons. Thailand already outlawed bitcoins. [ bitcoincharts.com] http://bitcoincharts.com/charts/mtgoxUSD#r...Szm1g10zm2g25zvI remember I donated around that volatile period. By the time I got home to donate, the value dropped 10%. Luckily for me, Tenboro adds 10% on top of what you donate, to mitigate this volatility. (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) It dropped all the way from 250 to around 50(I believe) some time ago. I sold quite a bit when it was at 200, Mtgox refused to work the next day and everyone started to panic. (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif)

QUOTE(skillchip @ Aug 25 2013, 12:32) Oh wow. A prefix above Legendary? How rare is it going to be in comparison to legendary? Did Tenboro throw out any numbers?

QUOTE(skillchip @ Aug 25 2013, 16:32) A new and better prefix? Neat. What an easy way to keep the big HV fish on the line for a while, and twisting in upgrade agony...although it will just make all us regular fish a bit more depressed too. (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/sad.gif)

Well... since Legendary aren't nearly as rare as they used to be, makes sense for there to be a prefix above even that at this point, right? With a drop rate similar to the Legendaries of old.

I thought it was only a matter of time until a new quality tier was introduced. It feels a little deflating.

QUOTE(ChosenUno @ Aug 25 2013, 14:55) I don't think it's possible to actually get one like that (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif) My highest ever recorded PXP for a legendary is 364 There's a PXP 370, it's a legendary ruby kevlar of protection piece with 6 PABs. Too lazy too look up the link. I think unknownxyz (I think that's his name?) has them.
