I dont think melee would need a nerf, but if mage are as bad as they say now, then they should make them more viable once again.
I mean, its not like 2handed is good both on multiple mobs AND RoB where domino strike wont matter with 1 monster.
If anything now is the time to have multiple equipments sets geared towards other weapon styles

Was gone for a while and holy cow... so many changes,.
So far I can't really do anything or give feedback because of the resolution change - old monitor so I'd have to scroll like mad man. What can I do to have it work on my old monitor again?

I just brought a precursor artifact from the store.
Apparently, someone was pissed enough at the elixir shrining rate to actually sell it.
I got a strength +1 though, so I'm happy.

QUOTE(buktore @ Jun 11 2013, 09:04) Elaborates It's mean people choose to play both style equally— nothing more, nothing less. It's has nothing to do with balance or the more troublesome to define 'fair'
And that's no math— it's data.
Modeling both sides factoring effort vs reward so thay both give equal return based on effort required.

what about time? if both give equal reward for equal effort, but one requires the effort in shorter time, it may still result in people in forging the one more, then preferring the one more, thus a loop for it.

time would be factored into effort, along with costs, rarity, and annoyance.

I highly doubt this can be quantified.

AFAIK with our current level of science and technology, there's no proven methods or techniques to quantifying these 'Human variables', like effort spent in this case, into numerical values applicable to mathematical calculations. Even if that isn't an issue and you do have some number to work with, how would such a model work? Is it even possible? Will it even give a truthful answer!? (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/huh.gif) That said... Even with this known great obstacle in mind, it never stop all the smart people of this planet from trying feverishly to do this in RL no matter how hopelessly difficult it is;— after all, mathematicians are so good at bullshiting themselves and others that a random number (which sometime isn't random!) is a perfect replacement for any known— unknown variables or anything they don't understand, and with that sorts out, it's very easy to whip up an equations afterward because in the end, what they care about is numbers and what they wanted from their efforts is a different set of numbers available at their disposal, not what's the numbers actually mean. So don't give up— you has many comrades with you! (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif) This post has been edited by buktore: Jun 11 2013, 22:35

Misuse of statistics is generally not done by mathematicians, but researchers in other fields. Just wanted to say that because i felt a bit insulted...

Does the Shrine give 3 Hath anymore? Because I started getting suspicious and sifted through the Shrine offering thread and saw that no one has gotten 3 Hath since 0.76 was released.

I just want more varied equipment sets period. The recent trend towards retiring equipment is disappointing.

Then you're even worst— you gave them the tools to help make it all happens! (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif) Seriously, though... When I'm saying "mathematicians" (which is just a joke) it's more like "mathaholics", and I'm not even talking about Statistics; you don't need mathematical knowledge to put a spin on statistic— all sorts of retards did this all the time... I'm talking more about the smart, knowledgeable people who love to compensate their lack of common sense and self-knowledge by replacing it with mathematical knowledge and theory even though it's full of shit and become blind because of it— the 2011 Rapture nonsense and many beliefs in Economics is a great example of this... The shrine still gives hath at all? (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/dry.gif) Meanwhile, enjoy all those Elixers (and now Happy Pills?) that drop now. (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif)
