It looks like multi-account is the future.

Almost every capping or nerf to higher-end, or cost and difficulty tweak makes multi-account more appealing.

Esp. given current equips dropping pattern, doing Arena for multiple times is way too much benefitial than GFing.

Ideally you should be able to do what you want on a single account. Muliti account shouldn't be appealing :/


arena clear credit / quality bonus
% drop reduction / 1000 round cap
can only spec into a single play style
stamina

anything else encouraging secondary accounts?

So I was told to boost my accuracy to avoid being evaded to death. I'm at 164.3% hit chance and there's still times when I get evaded 3 times in a row. How much more accuracy do I need? Also, either nerf monster parry or give us counter-parry since there's nothing I can do against parry. What's the fun in getting parried/evaded 8 times in a row and losing 80% overcharge and HP?

Yeah, I only use them when I plan to play a long time. Sometimes I buy some extras too, people usually sell them for 1k a piece so it's not that bad. Evade/parries aren't really a big problem for me though, I mean yeah, they happen, but it just means a little lost OC and a few extra seconds before I kill them. I mainly don't complain cause mages have it worse with resists.

Well there is couple of things which still bugging me after 0.76.

1. Ability Screen need one major tweak IMHO. 4 open Mastery slots just for Armor (so even lvl 1 newbie can access them without wasting MP).

Looking at Ability points from melee point of view, you are pretty much set. If all RED slots are open you can easily max any melee gear/setup imaginable. But from a mage point of view there is simply not enough slots. If mage want to max gear/armor then there is not enough slots to max spells (whole 2 wohoohoo!), if player want to max spells he must do that at the cost of gear or armor or both. Adding from a lack of better words: "Armor Slots" [perhaps in black] will greatly decrease cumbersomeness of maging as it is. Keep in mind it is not request for making mage quick and easy as it was before 0.76. It is just removing/polishing obvious handicap mage now have when it comes to efficient maging.

2. Tamagotchi Monster Lab.

Really pains me to admit but since 0.76 I pretty much lost all interest in ML. I simply have no time to grind all stuff which is required before mobs are dead - crystals in particular. Trying to keep them feed is full time job - well food is OK. Keeping them at full morale requires day and night to be at least 96 hours long. Just to prove the point. Playing HV how long 3 years, 4 now. In all that time I never had time or opportunity to train more than 1 monster which is now 550+, 1 is 300+ and 19 circling between 180 and 200. It amazes me totally that some guys keep 255 mobs. I was doing that purely for fun. Now it is beyond ridiculous. Increase drops (which are laughably low after 0.76; compounded with millions of credits blown into 40+ Scavenger I have the right to feel more than a fair bit cheated) or change that morale thingy. At Green morale - 100% drops, Yellow - 30% reduction in material drop, and with Red - -50%. As for hunger I would like to suggest making Hungry monster more of a wimp (penalties in resistances of all kinds) than fully feed mob. Sorry to say but playing HV more and more requires proverbial Korean kid which can grind stuff in MMORPGs for days without eating, working or sleeping until he/she is dead and buried literally. [BTW: Sorry if this offends any Korean, it is not a racist remark, it just illustrates scale of the problem.]

3. Remove cooldown on...

Stop the press! Mage is bitching again. Heh (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif) Actually it is only suggestion for resisted spells. It screwing completely whole plan of action when monster resist 10 out of 11 attacks. It usually looks like that: 5x resist (even if trying to MagNet bastard) then takes 1 token hit of lets say 1000 points and whole circus starts again. The higher level more infuriating it becomes culminating of course on IWBTH.

4. Hath refund for first 10% experience Hath Perk.

It wasn't converted to some meaningless HP (thankfully), but it wasn't returned to the pool either (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/cry.gif) . 100 Haths is not peanuts by HV economy standards. I won't bitch about lost good (unlocked) equipment in latest patch, but 100 H is calculable asset by any stretch.

Food isn't an issue at all. It's morale. The pills are rarer than artifacts and sinking in crystals is a temporary solution. Give us the option to refund our horde for the tokens and crystals, and I'll stop complaining about this silly tamagotchi gimmick disguised as a punishment for players who just logically used their chaos tokens to create more monsters when their main monster was already full of chaos tokens.

My Magnificent Estoc of Balance is obviously not as good as my Legendary Shocking Ebony Staff of Destruction. It's much easier to get a playable set of melee gear consisting of cheap plate and a random estoc than it is getting a full set of phase. Cloth is unplayable and gossamer is bad. Counting ability points, were people who switched anywhere nearly as powerful?

Also, Ability point resets are free. When this changes, switching styles will be very painful. Objectively costly.

Counting "% of people who play this style" is misleading. There are many, many reasons why people would play a given style over another that don't equate to "X is a more powerful style":

- It's more fun to play in their opinion
- They have gear/forge invested in it so it's better for them even if the style is worse
- The style matches some personal preference (slow&safe vs fast&powerful)
- They have good/bad ping/connection stability

These will not be 1:1 ratios across the board or on average. Therefore, the "equilibrium point" of a balanced game will not be "identical usage" or even close.

I'm not saying it's not a useful heuristic or complaining at Tenb for using it. But it can't be used to directly prove a point when there are so many other confounding factors.

Also: People want the reward to match the amount of time spent playing. I think that's what Tenshi was getting at.
