Rei-tenshi: tenboro needs love too. This patch took lot of effort in exchange of of lot of hate, and while numbers might be disagreeable for a lot the code and resulting outlook is beautiful(and more importantly, took quite many hours of effort).

Yes, I know. But players also spent hours of effort (probably thousands for some here) playing his game.
It's kinda hard to show some love when all the efforts you (the player) spent on the game got shit on.

Or maybe he does, who knows? He raged at me for saying that mage was untested + the patch could have used a bit more time in testing phase. And yet Tenb didn't bat an eyelid when ChosenUno said the same thing. Scary!

So? This is his hobby, and the hard core players are the "whales". You don't see level 100 newbs buying the haths required for paradise lost or even tokenizer, do you?
At least he could've spend 5 minutes playing it? It seems melee got tested properly, why not mages?

Besides, this patch has been in gestation for many months, so how is 1 more week of proper testing going to hurt it? Nobody forces him to release the patches, right?

As for forging, it's a straight up nerf. None of the new values are better than the old ones. At best you lose 10% compared to prepatch. At worst you lose over 50%.

But I digest. Tenboro doesn't seem to understand how maging is actually much more damn difficult than meleeing in every single aspect. He only seems to listen to the people who compares 100+million credits invested mages to 30-40million credits invested melees and say mages are OP. Thus mages are severely nerfed, while melees who having been getting it easy for a long time continues to get it easy.

Also, if he wants mage to be more strategic with this patch, he failed epically. By removing the 2x damage on main target, he made it so that there's 0 reason for mages to even target anymore. Why bother?

Uhh, yes. People should listen to someone who knows the game like the back of their hand on how to adjust to the changes, not someone who rants and can't even get basic gameplay details right. I've helped more lowbies get off to a good start than you have levels.

Yeah, low level appears to be buffed. Who cares? Once they get to high-level, they would suffer the same nerfs that others have anyway. And only then will they complain.
My point still stands: If you haven't spent much time playing this game, then you most probably don't know what you're talking about.

It made a ton of difference when doing Schoolgirl Marathons.

God, I just did the first one on Normal and not having Imperil/PA is the worst. (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/cry.gif) I coulda used that extra %25 damage. It took me 2 hours on fucking Normal to hack through all those bitches. Well, in fairness, I ran through my mana too quickly and was forced to do Focus Tap.

I wondered why he would treat someone who has contributed to site as much as you have (judging by the toplist awards) in such a way. It seems that time/effort invested in the gallery side are not as valued as one might expect.
