A) Bugfixes fix unintended behavior. This has nothing to do with if that behavior makes sense or not.

B) As for making sense in concert of infusions and scrolls, pots take lot of room and you can't pick stuff up in the middle of battle series, otherwise mobs will dogpile you. Even when stunned they can still at least fall on top of you when you're kneeling. You can't hold unlimited amount of infusions/scrolls in 1 slot either, the number is just much larger.

But let's say all pots were replaced with healing tokens(not to be mistaken with late healing tokens) that you could hold same number in 1 slot as infusions/scrolls. Now, there are few ways to go with this: They are so rare that you cannot use them wantonly, much like scrolls of the god. They heal so little they only make you lose slightly less slower, not rejuvenate you. The monsters are buffed a lot, as to make sure that when you're over your head you will die. You are rewarded according to how many you used in a battle series. One, several or all may take effect to have it remain somewhat balanced. Others may see further ways to balance this.

But none of them sound more pleasant than current system. Though reward being dependent on pots used would give some shine to illthid/battlecaster/focus equipment, for one. Not better than current system, but it could be horribly bad but still allow to keep a resemblance of current battle system.

How about adding a training that increases the max amount of Gems you can hold? I mean, losing Gems is tulry, truly, truly outrageous.

And again, HV is the only game I know of where, even if limited to n battle slots, you can't restock from items you pick up between rounds of battle. Don't give me the dogpile bullshit, as if mobs would just wait their turn to fight you, meahwhile the corpses of the defeated would not pile up. There is no need to "balance" this, as the availability of potions dropped is rather sparse now. Perhaps you did not notice how most of our potion drops got replaced by fucking monster food instead?

Because the "bug" and discussion of it has brought to light something which never sat right with me, not that I have been playing all that long. After all, it was your insistence on /a/ that if we couldn't run h@h, that we should play HV instead. But you know, it is pretty much shit now with the credit nerf. So if we have to grind more, then it should be more manageable. That is all.

The mechanic is not moronic, but rather it's you. You don't really spend much time considering the outcome of your whiny suggestion, do you?

I use them as I need them. Why use a Spirit Gem when my Spirit is full? And by the time my spirit does drop enough to use a gem, I may have already missed several gems that had dropped while I held on to it.

All of you guys defending the inventory limit during battles should atleast admit that it is indeed stupid that you can't use the potions you just picked up.

The only reason it's that way is for game balance. It is stupid, but it's also the only way to not break the game.

It's not really stupid if you imagine HV as a dungeon crawler game where you never gets any rest from monster waves unless you're outside of the fighting area. Therefore, you don't really have time to put the potions into your potion slot, only enough time to teleport the loot into a personal stash somewhere (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif)

That doesn't make sense either.

If you are fighting endless monsters, then they shouldn't come in groups of 6-9, but automatically spawn in your screen the moment you kill one. There shouldn't be multiple rounds, just 1 LONG round of infinitely spawning monsters.
