Is there a reason adding Chaos upgrades doesn't boost morale by a small amount?

They already reduce morale drain.

Is it that bad that a monster's morale drops to zero?

No gifts = "what's the point?" to some people.

<~tenboro> and arena token bonuses

This is news to me.

QUOTE(Pro2Type @ May 26 2013, 14:26) *

Tenboro, if you really want us to get rid of some of our monsters, why not give us the option to delete monsters and monster slots, and get refunded with the crystals and chaos tokens spent we've on them?

Because that makes it easier to create one super-strong monster.

QUOTE(skillchip @ May 26 2013, 19:33) *
Like right now I just maxed a monsters morale by giving them 2500 crystals

So to keep ONE monster's morale at max, every 7 days (assuming we only want green morale) we need 2500+X crystals, where X is the extra amount each "next level" requires. For the level that requires 2500 crystals, we need 10,000 crystals for just 4 monsters. Next week, for the same 4 monsters we'll need 12,000 crystals. In about three months, those 4 monsters will require 150,000 crystals each, which means they'll depend entirely on Happy Pills from then on, which are still ridiculously rare and expensive (4C to sell, 8000C to buy). Does that seem right to anyone? =_=

But even if we did have truckloads of free Happy Pills, what would be the point of keeping a monster's morale high, when when even a PL585 one with green morale can't bring anything better than a couple of low and mid grades once every 24 hours? (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif)

QUOTE(Tenboro @ May 26 2013, 21:21) *

That is actually intentional. This way, hopefully, people will spread their love between as many monsters as they have the time and inclination to maintain, instead of an army of PL 25s or just one super powerful one.

Then why don't you allow us to completely re-organize our monster lab, change names and types and only keep the very few monsters that we want to keep?

Whatever the hell is the issue here? It costs a multiplicative amount to upgrade a monster continuously; what one would get back if such a mechanic went into effect wouldn't be the same as "Level of monster = pre-upgrade level + level of deleted monster." "Super-strong" by a few more power levels isn't anything anybody should wet themselves over.

Why not bring back the High-Grade gifts for monsters over PL250 as an incentive for users to attempt to
keep their monster's morale in the Green bar?

That might be the intention, but that makes it a pain in the ass for someone to add an extra monster to their army. Say a person has X moderate to high level monsters but think they can support another. Under the current system, they get punished for attempting to raise only one monster at a time. Basically, in an attempt to stop people from investing all their crystals into a single monster, you're punishing people who want to increase their army in a deliberate fashion. That makes sense to you? (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/blink.gif)

Thought of this option but i'm running only on a Dell Precision laptop ATM and it never seems to agree with @Home apps (I blame Nvidia drivers).

I just worry that all the credit and time maintenance for HV will reduce overall focus on what's important: the H.

You know what this patch reminds me of?

The difference between Final Fantasy VII and Final Fantasy VIII, VII was legendary and then VIII was released and it was a whole new ball game! Now you had to 'draw' spells from monsters instead of roflknightsoftheround every turn, granted getting Knights of The Round was a pain in and of itself to get but damn was it sure fun to one-shot Sephiroth with it. (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

Anyway: Today I just completed my goal to finish all Arenas on IWBTH and with that goal I am retiring from the HentaiVerse.

You know life moving on and that sort of thing and maybe I'll be back and maybe I won't and no, I'm not giving away my stuff...so don't ask.

For those who might still be having problems with Spark of Life, I discovered that Silence is a lifesaver.

Take care everyone! (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

Actually a salvage monster function will help in the growth Process for new players.

In the beginning they won't have that good gear so Low and Mid Grade Materials are needed for their first baby steps at the Forge.
Then slowly as their Level, and Trainings rise they will end up with better LotD and get better loot where they want to invest more into the Forge and then High Grade Mats are needed so they will just upgrade their mobs but eventually you will end up not being able to keep them all happy and then get the feeling you effort of the Mob was totally wasted. If you can salvage it for lets say 75% the Crystals/Token can be used to keep the other Mobs up.
Creating one Super powerful mob is out of Question for most players anyways.

Super power monster is easier to make now.
Some people are getting a happy pill (though I've only gotten 1 total (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/dry.gif) ) a day, but one every 5 or so days is enough to keep a monster happy. Bad luck? Buy one.
No real change if you're regular player, then upgrades are cheaper, making it substantially easier.

PL 25 army seems very viable too. It would be more efficient to delete and recreate monsters then to continue raising to higher levels.
To get to PL25 is not very expensive for crystals. Even if you lost those crystals from making monster, to recreate seems more efficient than to maintain.
Downside to this is just that higher level monster will likely meet the gift chance more.
But when you're spending what is one upgrade that could create multiple monsters, it's probably worth it.

I think happy pills are dropping more frequently now. Maybe stealth buff in drop rates? I doubled the amount of pills I had in just these past two days. I know I'm getting maybe 2 a day mostly from RE. Maybe I'm just crazy.

Wouldn't the drop rate reduction not apply if you did the 200+ arenas first?

Assuming you aren't doing all the arenas on Normal, wouldn't you only have to burn off the schoolgirl Normal rounds with time (all the Arenas on Normal would take 25 hours for the entire accumulated rounds to wear off, so someone who runs all arenas on Normal would eventually be constantly in -75% drops). This assumes that rounds on Hell+ don't count towards the drop reduction.

What's the point of debuffs? For me now all debuffs last only 10-20 turns, which is ridiculously silly.

But this @home app doesn't need to use your graphics card, and doesn't have anything in common with the others besides the name?
And really, if you have a machine that can actually work as a server, it should be possible to bootstrap a torrent farm without playing HV: Put up a few for popular galleries, then use the GP to download more.

I guess the first post-patch fight surprised you? With no equipment and reduced abilities, we tend to be kinda squishy. It's like fighting without G-Forces in FFVIII, haha. Everything gets better once you reequip everything and slot your ability boosters in.

in 0.75:
holy = less mana/damage, +curative spells, breached defence
dark = more mana/damage, slightly better monster-immunity profile?, blunted attack

in 0.76?:
holy =mana/=???damage (they are same tier now), +curative spells, breached defence, soul fire
dark =mana/=???damage (they are same tier now), slightly better monster-immunity profile?, blunted attack, ripen soul

is this correct?

-------------------
also how does faster cast/attack work with cooldowns?
example 2 turn cooldown and faster cast speed of say 5%

i'm guessing the spell would be available on the 3rd turn?

after .95 ticks you get a turn (spell not ready)
after 1.9 ticks you get a turn (spell not ready)
after 2.85 ticks you get a turn (spell is ready)

anyone?

I'm trying to figure out what benefit dark has over holy now that it is no longer T4

mana cost? Even
Tier multiplier? Now Even
resist profile? Dark wins barely...
Proc? Holy wins (+ dmg > reduce dmg)
pasisve bonus? Holy wins; gets +cure

(ripen soul vs soul fire)? dunno haven't maged since patch..

Holy 2 Dark 0-1 depending how you rate resist profile...

can any post-apocalypse patch mages shed some light on this?
