QUOTE(gc00018 @ May 26 2013, 05:16) The explosions seems uesless and the worrior-style mages are much easier and faster.
IMO explosion never works well. Holy was for debuff and kills off demon/undead. Merely a small bonus in previous patch. Holy with -MMI debuff don't really need cycling. This post has been edited by HTTP/308: May 26 2013, 15:09

I really hope cycling between multiple elements never becomes a necessity. I had to do that when I was low level and thought it was fucking terrible. (Not in terms of damage, but the fun factor was non-existent.) QUOTE(kakashi524 @ May 26 2013, 06:07) I can work with cooldowns, granted I have the upgrades for the spells that I use and the CDs are reduced enough to make the game playable as a mage. Yeah, I think the cool-downs on offensive spells are fine now, provided that you have access to enough upgrades. They were terrible at first, but Tenboro tweaked them enough that I have absolutely no problem with them now. I think the one change to maging that is needed is holy and dark getting a damage boost. Maybe a -25 to -50 mitigation reduction via Imperil, or something. It's hard to balance; the cost of entry to elemental magic turned out to be really high: in order to max out elemental damage and the range of just one element, you have to invest just under 140 AP and 4 ability slots. A holy or dark mage only has to invest 48 AP and 3 slots (80 AP and 4 slots if you include Soul Fire or Ripened Soul). On the other hand, you could argue that the lower MP cost and (if significant) cast time reduction of elemental spells completely justifies the higher AP cost. I don't know. I've got a good amount of food, but why bother? Wouldn't be able to keep the morale up with crystals anyway and buying happy pills wouldn't be cost-effective.

So when do all those starving monsters actually come out of circulation? Soon? Next patch maybe?

at least their morale bar depleted slower. there's a chance they will bring back good amount of material in that short time.

But since the change I have found only two happy pills and most of my monsters are now yellow morale. I'd be curious to know how many monsters are still green morale. Also, it would be nice if the food was changed to one where a monster could eat their food or a better grade. I need edibles and have plenty of cuisine.

If food knocks out half the monsters, to what levels is morale going to drop the number? It'll be interesting to see those numbers approximately 15 days after the patch, then again another 15 days later by which every non-chaosed monster should be at 0 happiness without any happy pills or crystal upgrades.

All my monsters have green morale, the lowest one has like half the morale left and I haven't used any Happy Pills, yet. But I have upgraded their stats in small burst to gain some morale without wasting the crystals. I must admit they would have higher morale but yesterday I forgot about feeding them and they lost some morale when they started to starve. I think feeding the monsters should give them token morale, +25 per piece of food as long as the monster really needs to be fed, to avoid exploits by overfeeding the monster.

Monsters still appear in battle and still bring back loot even if they're not fed, so why are people wasting their food? If I were still playing I'd be saving all my food until it was actually required. Well anyway, 27,098 sounds like enough monsters so all the ones that aren't fed should be allowed retire, regardless of their level.

If the monster starves they lose morale faster. So, ofc we are feeding the bastards.

Eventually, even if the monsters are fed, their morales will drop to 0 -> no gift. Death to most monsters yay.

Tenboro wants you to use crystals to keep your monsters happy. Maybe allow crystal upgrades them to put monsters into overlove, since right now its kinda counter-intuitive since you don't want to waste morale by boosting your monster too soon, and lower amounts of crystals don't do much for most players. Maybe instead of just basing it on # of crystals, also base it on monster PL? Like right now I just maxed a monsters morale by giving them 2500 crystals, I was going to upgrade it more, but now I don't want to waste the morale I'd get This post has been edited by skillchip: May 26 2013, 18:36

Ya, this is my situation. Before the patch, I know the monster lab will be changed so I keep the crystals. Now I got some and can level some of the monsters, however it will be waste of crystal as the cap is to easy to match if you level a 400PL to 600~800PL This post has been edited by andywong: May 26 2013, 18:42

You suggest this after I blasted 30 million credits worth of Crystals into my Nyaruko (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif)
