I play with complete mage style and right now i m completely fucked. Imperil is gone from my quickbar even though i used an ability slot for it(and activated it). My hp and mp have gone down. Cooldowns for mages suck big time since i cannot heal myself properly. Cure II and arcane focus are gone which is critical for my survival. Spark of life only restores you to 1hp which is big nerf. Mastery slots suck big time and i dont know how to gain one other than spending 1m credits which is a LOT considering i have not seen my credits bigger than 150k. Battle slots gone down from 9 to 3. Before i was able to handle IWBTH random encounters and i noticed currently there is no way i can manage that. And who knows how else i was nerfed with my mage style.

Edit1: Just noticed half of my trained spells are also gone. Ex. Flames of Loki, Hurricane etc.

I'm also wondering how mages are supposed to acquire the Dovahkiin title now. When I did it, I spent most of my time replenishing MP. There was no way I'd have been able to get through DwD IWBTH that without ET.

Now, with Magic Missile gone, you can no longer proc Coalesced Mana for free, which means you can't sit there and refuel MP from a schoolgirl. In order for Drain (which also costs MP) to proc Ether Tap, holy spells need to be augmented with Soul Fire. The fact that this is tied to holy spells kind of screws over elemental and dark mages.

Ok, adding Cooldown on Cure and removing Cure II makes game much harder. Also, abilities was... Big meh in my opinion.

Dude mage styles need to be fixed. This is not playable. There is whining and there are balance issues. Two different things.

Absorb is more useless than ever even fully maxed.

Mana issues are quite extreme at the moment, spell costs are ridiculous and the number of turns that they last is laughable.

I tend to waste a lot of mana regen even when I hit my Heroic Mana Potion at zero mana and this is while casting Full-Cure, Cure and upkeep my spells.

And when I say that the amount of turns spells last being laughable I really mean it, haha, I'd say the turns they last are equal to if not less than their scroll counterparts.

I really think that Proficiency + Ability points should lower the casting cost, lower the cooldown and increase the amount of turns either on yourself or on a monster.

I think that would help both mages and melee, yes?

Now, can I complain too?

Before the newest patch, usually, in hard difficulty, I could cover more than 80 rounds in Grindfest and any of the Arena according to my level, but now, I can't even finish Arena with 25 round and more, even though I have filled all the major and supportive ability slot with necessary ability. What is that blue and pink slot? My AP have a lot to spare, since I'm a melee fighter, using Light Armor and 1H, and some supportive magic, like Cure, Haste, Regen and Protection. Having unlocked all of the spell is nice, but somehow, spell like Haste have short duration, less than 20 rounds, which is really frustrating, even though I have upgrade the Haste points. I have a lot of AP to spare. The Battle Item is limited to three, and to unlock new slots including scroll and infusion, you need to go to training and train those stuff. Yeah, while I only have only 1C. Honestly, the Training is too expensive.

Honestly, in my humble opinion, I didn't really like the new patch. The previous one is nicer than this. The reason I don't like the new patch is not because of I don't like to change, but this patch seems... unstable, unbalanced and being modified too much. It would be hard for newbies to play. I hope Tenboro-dono can do something about this, nice and slow. I don't mind waiting. Reverting back to the older patch? That would be much faster and better, man. I want to reach higher level already.

While I wait, don't mind me, I'll just sit here, fapping, and sorting my unsorted fap material. (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif)

Sort of. Look at Supportive 2. You can augment the spell Protection with one of the four elemental spike shields, which will increase your resistance against that element.
