A "fix" for mages (not that anyone reads my insane ramblings):
1. a counter-resist bonus for wearing all Cloth. 2. A Cure2 that you can use while the other cures are cooling down. 3. Domino Strike ability for staff (since it is a two-handed weapon). 4. Concussive Strike should hit all targets (but cost 100% Overcharge).

Honestly, I agree with Ichy on the need for there to be actually ideas.
So here's one: Have the holy element boost not just cure but regen too. And make proc debuffs from spells more powerful(not only good for exploding). Melee is split into DW, 1h, 2h(further into mace, estoc, scythe) and niten. That's pretty varied. Yet the only variance mage, well, used to have is gear costs between elemental and holy/dark and holy being better on low difficulties than dark for mana while dark had better resistance profile. Though plain Might not be best option, given how many effects deal with reducing incoming damage.
As for gossamer, I think the prof scaling should be looked at, but cba about formulas now - it's just that the majority of mobs will not have +50 elemental upgrades, plus the cost of trading a phase for a piece of gossamer is different on low level and high level, not to mention the reward for doing so varies a lot too. Or maybe it balances perfectly, though I doubt that.
I'm still probably missing 21% damage that comes from damage perk and title perk. After all that, I'll be about 5-7% weaker damage-wise compared to last patch, I think. And tbh I have huge doubts about prof stuff working. That or the effect is so damn tiny it doesn't even matter. I was doing DwD IWBTH in 7 minutyes before the patch. Actually, i don't care if mage is being nerfed to the point where you must lower the difficulty setting but if the gameplay is crap, i can't stand playing at all. Tried maging with the last changes, i felt i was playing some kind of tank, my life and spirit bar weren't even moving.

Did you read danixxx's latest post? You constantly take HTTP as reference for melees. So can I then take Hito and Danixxx as mage reference as well? (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/wink.gif) I have a question about the monster lab: Isn't possible to get an option where you can feed all your monsters with 1 food?

Yes. And both danixxx/hito also said that they cleared stuff faster using melee on an inferior set. Well melee was rubbish for a long time while mage was awesome. Now it is the opposite. Check back in 3 years when melee sucks ass again and mage is king.

Yeah, I think the way to go is to always have both sets just in case. Which is why I will continue to try to build my fenrir set anyways. You never know what the next patch may bring unfortunately. What's funny is that last patch, melee and mage were both pretty usable, with advantages in different areas. How he managed to royally screw that up with this patch is beyond me.

Yeah, it seems he'll go with the same trend of rolling tier one and tier two together. He'll probably put cotton's mitigation together with gossamer's prof. I really like what he did with heavy and light so far, especially light (making agility more important really helped too). The only problem is we lost all that tier 2 junk to sell to the bazaar, lol.
