QUOTE(Tenboro @ May 22 2013, 13:19) Base. Drop. Rate.
I know that. QUOTE Special droprate bonus for high-PL monsters was dropped and capped. So if all you were fighting was PL >1000 monsters, you probably didn't see a major difference.
Well why didn't you say so earlier? That solves a big mystery for me.

Four whole days to get 100 pages? I am disappoint. QUOTE(Maximum_Joe @ May 22 2013, 23:25) Well why didn't you say so earlier? That solves a big mystery for me. I did update the patch notes. It's not my fault that you don't read that huge wall several times a day to try to spot stealth changes... ... Well, that's my defense and I'm sticking to it.

Is the drain spell incredibly weak for a 20cd spell with high ap and mastery investment costs or am I using it wrong? If so, what is the proper use? I've been using it to get the old ether theft effect but its weaker than even the standard current ether tap and has a shorter duration.

Mage Damage is now more OKish. So is mana usage. Now we need the promised lesser resist thing and something to increase AoE Effect by a bit and Mage is fun again (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)

The more I play, the easier it gets to figure out how to play effectively. BTW, for anyone having trouble, I would very much recommend heading to stun-land, using either 2H Maces or DW clubs...it gives you a good margin of error if you haven't yet figured out how hard mobs are hitting, and how spells can be used to mitigate/recover. @Tenboro. Is the patch nick-name really related to the wall of text=patch notes? Say it ain't so... (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/sad.gif) . If true, then, totally lacking in poetry...and probably the worst thing about the patch.

Drain works by doing an... extremely small amount of damage, and giving you HP with each tick of damage it does. My Drain, before I stopped using it with the update to ability level unlocks, did an average of 18 damage and returned 45 HP per tick; essentially, it was a shittier Regen with multiple caveats, such as the fact the target must be alive in order for Drain to continue returning HP and that it lasts for a far shorter duration. Until it gets buffed, I guess you shouldn't use it? EDIT: QUOTE(eramosat @ May 22 2013, 17:46)

I got Flame Spikes for my Protection because Seared Skin lowers their attack damage, which in turn means more survivability for me. Or so I would assume. Now, as to leveling up my Arctic longsword... This post has been edited by cavecricket48: May 22 2013, 23:50

Some people will have ragequit, a few may be so angry they have lost the ability to post. Then there are those who need to post again and again and again........

QUOTE(eleeinos @ May 22 2013, 11:11) QUOTE(Death Grunty @ May 22 2013, 11:06) @Tenboro Suggestion: each kill and battle won should increase the monster's morale, no? (The amount would depend on whether it's a kill or battle won. Needless to say which should increase morale more.)
This would reward higher level and invested monsters and punish those low level masses that were created only to farm materials. So as far as I can see it would still work as intended.
Please consider it.
That's actually a good idea. The current morale system doesn't seem to work. ._. You know, I think so too! ...You know, I keep wondering why feeding a monster doesn't increase morale at all... It did when I tried it a few days ago. I think. (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/huh.gif) This post has been edited by Death Grunty: May 23 2013, 00:03

When I say "feeding" I imply you're giving it foodstuffs. So no. Talking about the foodz.

@cavecricket48 You are soooo hooked! When I sawyour first patch-related posts, i was certain you were an angry, dissatisfied infrequent HV player headed for the door...but now, here you are diving deep into the post-patch strategies. Welcome. Also, probably don't level a longsword for too long before trying out other 2H weapons, or other melee styles, to see if they do better. (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

(IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) Oh you beyatch. Don't group me with your kind. >_> And I tried all melee styles before I went on my hiatus. Longswords have the perfect balance of stats regardless, and I have an Ethereal one. Which I use. This post has been edited by cavecricket48: May 23 2013, 00:20

QUOTE(MSimm1 @ May 22 2013, 18:17) Monsters morale is restored by crystals or Happy Pills (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/dry.gif) Monster LabStarving monsters just lose Morale quicker (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/sad.gif) Still makes no sense why the fuck feeding them food wouldn't make them happier, but so it goes.
