I don't get the hate this patch got, I use 1H style and all in all the game got perhaps easier, and no doubt more interesting.

I love that the monsters don't use 25000 damage spells anymore, no need to hide behind spirit shield all the time just for that, the ability system is so much more strategic, the monster lab too. I don't get people who scream bloody murder just because the game is not only about farming anymore.

Just wanted to add a positive opinion to the topic ^^

Do you somehow have 2500000 of each kind of crystal and/or are one of those rare souls who managed to find a happy pill?

EDIT: If anything, this game is even more about farming. Lowered credit yields? More time needed to farm up, lol. And a "strategic ability system"? Da fuq? It's the same a s before, but set out in a different format. It used to be much more unforgiving to lower leveled players, until 30 minutes ago.

You gotta elaborate before you post your stuff, lol.

No I still did not see the legendary happy pill, there's clearly some tweaking left to be done. That does not change the fact that monster lab is not just about creating a monster once and waiting for the golden egg to fall.

And saying the ability system is the same is dishonest: Between the proficiency limit and the armor/weapon abilities, you can't just swing between mage-warrior-defender at will, you have to think about building your character (more true for the lowest levels). Before we all had the abilities slots filled the same way, I'm willing to bet that's not the case anymore.

Anyway in my humble opinion it's a step in the right direction. That's all I wanted to say, and no I received no credits to say it (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif)

It does, but its extremely rare I feel now even on IWBTH. I've noticed this after not getting a single T2/T3 on the first day.

Also thanks Tenboro. Now I can actually spam weaken and SS will actually work now. The only two things I was worried about.

As a 1H Light user, I'm also finds this patch more and more interesting, considering on my survivability in Grindfest/Item World. Before this, I could only managed to get to 80+ rounds, but now, I could go for 125+ rounds. I'm able to go that far thanks to the General, 1H, Light Armor and Supportive Spells abilities. I'm just hoping that the Mage-type play will get balanced and stabilized.

To me, and apparently a lot of us, it feels like an add burden with the feeding and morale mechanics. At my level and with my low-leveled monsters, the crystals aren't a problem and neither is the food [note that food isn't a problem at all considering how much of it drops] but for higher leveled players they're listing crystal upgrade requirements in the hundreds of thousands.

What are you talking about? We already got bonuses for wearing exclusively one type of armor set and high weapon proficiency before 4 days ago; moving them to being an ability upgrade didn't feel needed at all. Obviously I'm at a low level and I didn't have as many AP as you did before the patch, but I skilled myself exclusively melee before with the standard Cure, Protection, and a maxed Haste.

Well it depends on how far we want to go with this problem and if we only want it to apply towards HV.

The solution is limited registration (like what you see on private trackers).

But I doubt that would be something that is likely to happen.

Another one would be to verify your account via unique and hard (hard as in, it's possible but not worth it) to spoof ID's.
One such ID is credit cards.
Which is what Paypal does to verify your credit card is valid and your account.

But all that is rather irrelevant and just stupid to implement, since that is just attacking the problem through the main gate instead of looking at where the problem occurs.

In this case, it would be to actually redefine and make the monsters play a lesser role in HV (one way is via a PvP system, where "smurf" accounts users will have to micro manage everything the monster does).

And instead make it so that once you hit level X, you can start making another type of monster which is identical to the one we currently we have.
