I actually got the motivation to seriously try 0.76, so now I have some thoughts grounded in that. I don't think I have anything to say that hasn't been already said. 1) I still don't like cool-downs because juggling spells is annoying and slows the game down, but they are much more manageable now than they were when the patch was first pushed out. I think more than anything, they just punish low level players, but a lot of things about this patch do that. But thanks for lowering them. 2) Overall, I feel weaker. Not in the sense that I can't "lol 500k+ damage on ALL the things" anymore, but I mean weaker relative to monster HP levels. Things that I could one-hit with Imperil on BT and IWBTH before the patch now require 2-6 casts of various spell tiers with Imperil. Funnily enough, even though one of the stated goals behind the MMI revamp was to reduce reliance on Imperil at higher levels, without Imperil, I'd be completely screwed now -- more so than before. The low damage of monsters keeps things reasonable, but I don't expect that to actually last. It is especially apparent when trying to use an element that a monster is resistant to, despite all of the changes to specific mitigation (i.e., lower initial specific mitigation, stronger Imperil, proficiency bonus). For example, against Dalek on BT, with Imperil, it took eleven wind spells to kill. Fucking Dalek. Before the patch, it would have only taken one or two casts. Yuki Nagato in RoB on IWBTH took ~62 turns, while before the patch it would have taken only 8-12. I think schoolgirl marathons just became much more difficult for elemental mages, especially when you consider that mages no longer effectively have infinite MP when doing them, since Magic Missile was taken away. Damage didn't matter before; only time. If I were to try a schoolgirl marathon now, I don't think mana potions (finite) and Ether Tap (unreliable and not free) would be enough to see me through the end, unless I were playing on Normal. The only other option, Drain & Ether Theft, is intimately tied to holy magic, which is a little unfair given that the Magic Missile method required no investment and was available to all mages. What might help is restoring the general damage bonus of Arcane Focus, fixing the damage bonus on the Godslayer title, and finding out where the 632 points that mysteriously vanished from my Magic Base Damage went. (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif) 3) Spells not jumping over dead monsters is lame. If there is an asshole in the middle of the pack that you want to take out first, you'll end up making a huge hole in the middle that T1s can't reach across. 4) Perhaps it's just me, but resists seem more out of control than they were before the patch. It would help if he made SoL how it was before. You know, the never dying so long as SoL is on IA and you have enough spirit part. [ sadpanda.us] This should not happen, ever.

Actually, it happens now. The monsters can easily trigger the spirit shield. (the spirit point drop like a waterfall) And the important point is, there is nearly no way to gain spirit point now. (Don't tell me to use drain, if you tried, you know you need to cast a number of dark spell even with maxed the ability, then cast the drain with the debuff. Finally, you will gain 20~40 points)

yep , now those mobs & schoolgirls take alot of SP from their skill atk (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/sad.gif) my damage nerf , PA nerf only stack 75% PMI , skill atk nerf (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/cry.gif) credits rate nerf (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/dry.gif)

Well Tenb. After trying to play the .76 version of the HV game, I realize the game isn't playable for me any more.
1. I do not have the time required to play enough to support the monsters I've made. 2. I've been reduced to playing on normal in order to win a battle. Battles are taking 15 to 50 more events than they used to. If I face more than four or five mobs, I'm probably dead. ON NORMAL!!! I'm DEAD!! that is just to fucking sad. So unless you make some drastic changes real quick, every monster I've made will die, because I can't play the way it is.
3. Over the years I've been playing the HV has helped me relieve the stress of my personal life for a few moments each day. Now playing the game is a source of stress, and that is the last thing I need.
So Tenb I've enjoyed the HV while it lasted & thanks for all your efforts & I'v sad to see it go.
I'll stick around for the galleries thou.

The ones running H@H/adopted servers probably don't feel a damned thing.
