Since .76 became active, I have been finding plenty of monster food but no happy pills. And keeping my monsters' moral up with crystal upgrades will get harder as their needs become greater. How about one happy pill every time the highest level player monster gets defeated?

My guess is that the intent there is to make us use Chaos tokens for maxing out all upgrades first instead of new monsters.

2400(?) Chaos tokens for 1 monster ~ 2 years of play for me.

It took two years to make Eila and she's been beaten just two days after the last patch. What's most ridiculous is that I probably spent considerably more crystals on Eila than HTTP/308 did on Kodou Yuki, but Tenboro wiped out most of the crystals I spent on Eila. Tenboro, I'd like confirmation that Eila and my other witches will disappear once the food system is fully active. Edit: What happened if somebody upgraded their monster between the patch and today's high level monster refund? Was it possible to do some upgrades cheaply and then receive a load of more expensive upgrades as part of the refund? I had suspected that might have happened, but now it looks even more likely. Not that I care much, as long as my witches finally get to retire. This post has been edited by TheTornPrince: May 21 2013, 01:15

QUOTE(Tenboro @ May 20 2013, 04:55) You should stop throwing that number around. You're using a constructed example with the one specific monster that had the highest prepatch MMI in the game, with imperil. It's not representative.
Would you please award more proficiency points for spells? It isn't fair nor is it balanced that it is easy as hell to get melee/equipment prof but spells can't be grinded for prof like the used to. Recall you have that absurd loot penalty rule in place that punishes us for playing at Nightmare or Hard (this makes no sense). For that matter, could you kindly tell us what the exact requirements are to get our old spells back (silence, imperil, etc)? Also, as mentioned by numerous people, the 1/3 cut in credit drops and no longer giving bonus scaling to difficulty level is pure rubbish. Fix that, pretty please.

Does anyone know how to fix this? I've tried clearing Chrome's cache, but no go. It happens when I use Spirit, Defend, or Focus. (IMG:[ imageshack.us] http://imageshack.us/a/img20/1402/75969739.png) This post has been edited by n125: May 21 2013, 01:23

Not that it matters to me anymore, but a small amount of morale-upon-kill seems logical and might helps solve the low PL-massing problem while giving those who don't play much don't play enough to keep up their horde of waifus a chance to keep their monster income that they've invested in.

Any way to better adapt to this patch's changes? I'm getting my ass kicked in the last few arenas available to me on Normal. Especially since there's no item slot abilities.

Spells are still not properly targeting I frequently have T2 spells target only a single enemy if there are several fallen monsters in a large mob.
My spell casting endurance has been cut in half. In 0.75 I could cast about 40 T3 dark spells (more if using Holy or elemental) from a full mana bar and now I can only cast 22 T3 Dark/Holy spells. Even more aggravating is that Arcane Blow often does as much damage as a T1 Dark/Holy spell.
Previously I could clear an entire mob on Heroic with a single T3 spell. Now it often requires a T3 plus a T2 spells to clear a Normal mob. These changes make IWBTH rounds move at a glacial pace.
The only reason I can maintain anything close to neutral mana flow is because I am forced to melee due to the enforced cool downs.
As off putting as blitz or die spellcasting was with the 0.7x patches. This is far worse.

Based on what I've seen, now I get more experience and less credits.
If I remember well (I may not), before Great status gave +50% exp and credits, but now it gives +100% exp only. As a result, I think I'm leveling up faster but my credit income is too little compared to before.
I would prefer Great would give more credits agains in exchange of less experience (similar to before). That would make the playing more balanced and buying would be easier. I think I would even welcome a credit training. Investing credits in training to get more does not sound farfetched.
Maybe I'm wrong with what I've said, but it's true getting credits has become harder through The HV.

You could easily make the argument that Scavenger, Quartermaster, and Archaelogist are just that.

You're right (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/happy.gif) although now they are more expensive to train than before... (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/sleep.gif) This post has been edited by Ebisan: May 21 2013, 02:06

With the removal of the damage/credit boost and the decreasing gains on playing lots of rounds on lower difficulties, can you get rid of stamina? Failed riddlemasters could count against the lower difficulty round limits (I assume the decreasing drop rate counts for higher difficulties as well. I'm not sure how'd you balance that for people botting at higher levels if that's possible because they wouldn't be using up their rounds elsewise. (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/unsure.gif) ). Or you could just fix Energy Drinks. What percentage of the HV population plays over 2k rounds per day and thus needs them? As of now, the only other reason I can think of to use one is after one's daily playing to maximize stamina regen into great status for slightly faster EXP gains.

Excuse me if anything I say is redundant, but I'm only half-way through reading this thread, and I wanted to post something before I finished.... One. Awesome thread! Super-entertaining!! It's got everything you need...passion, despair, H2H flaming, a fair bit of wit...I love it! Two. The game? Massive changes, to be sure, but I'm sure it'll all be fine...I'll enjoy it as much as I did before...the only thing that would really bother me if entertaining people leave the community, and from the strong opinions being flung around, it seems possible. Which would be too bad...but manageable. Three. There's too much criticism of Tenboro's work. Waay too many complaints about trivial things i.e. anything about the impact to gameplay at all. And way too much criticism of changes that have been done "incorrectly" or without due consideration for <insert username>'s concern. And not nearly enough appreciation for the fact that the whole thing has been built by Tenboro, and for your use for free...FREE...if you choose, without any serious reduction in functionality...right? So tone it down....you may be taking this all too seriously. (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif)
