I can't seem to do anything during battles other than attack monsters.
So I can't click, attack, skillbook, items, etc.
Even the quickbar doesn't work.

Yeah, maging is pretty much dead (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/dry.gif) Now how do I undo all the APs spent on maging. Plus, why are AP resets so fucking expensive? I think they apply, but they just don't appear below "Upgrades and Enchantments". I just used a Featherweight Shard on these Leggings and the interference did drop by half, but it doesn't show at the bottom. How are mages supposed to play the game now? My biggest gripe is the cooldown on spells; it saps any speed and enjoyment out the game for me. But overall, I'm just not seeing the big picture.
Storms of Njord now costs me around 98 MP to cast, as opposed to around 56 MP before the patch. Against a mid-PL giant on IWBTH, WITH IMPERIL, I wasn't able to one-shot it, which would have been easily done before the patch. In fact, I managed to take off barely 50% of its health with that one spell. I had to cast Downburst, then Gale, and then after that, there were still other enemies left standing and all of the spells of my primary element were on cool-down.
To get around the cool-down problem, I could branch out to other elements, but the problems associated with doing that are 1) I'd get weaker overall because I'd have to spread EDB from equipment across multiple elements -- and that's not even taking into account the new benefits from proficiency; and 2) I will easily run out of major ability slots, even if I cut back on a few abilities. Doing a rough count, I think I'd need around 15 major ability slots just to be comfortable playing with ONE element. I'm not sure I have enough Mastery Points to cover that and still have enough left over for other elements and the necessary amount of supportive ability slots.
With maxed MP Tank and Cloth MP, I'm still missing around 1500 MP, which is a huge amount, especially since spells appear to cost more MP now. Even if I were to unlock Effluent Ether (and I had Black Aura before...), I'd still be missing a significant portion of MP. The same goes for HP and SP.

had problem with gem icons, health gem clearly visible while mana & mystic gem only appears as dots. using verdana 8pt (if ever matter) woah cure & regen felt so puny (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/cry.gif) cure cost 1/3 of full cure but only heals 1/7 HP

Main issues with the hath perk changes, it is to MAX hp/mp/sp, which it should clearly be base for awesomeness

this became harder then ever, random encounter almost killed me, because the magic cooldown, less HP-MP. Cost for support magic is way over the top, regen 130, and if i cast heartseeker then i got no mp left over (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) but who cares, the game became better, last time i almost fell asleep in the item world upgrading my weapon. need new strategy.

Funny thing about that is that with my holy set, elemental spells deal less damage than arcane blow (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif) And even with an OH weapon, nothing will change. At best your damage will be like 25% of your element's weakest spell. And that's with 1 mob. So yeah, I think HV just became unplayable, from a mage's view.
