I suggest mages get some OC function. Each spell adds OC (same as melee attack) and spirit mode quickly drains leftover cooldown of your spells. (emphasis on quickly)
Wouldn't that be interesting?

99% of those who actually read the patch notes will briefly skim them, then hone in on everything that they perceive will affect them negatively in any way, disregard everything else, then throw up a massive whinefest about those particular changes.

The rest hang out on the IRC, where I've been discussing the changes in depth in the weeks prior to the patch.


Riot posts their patch notes on their PBE essentially a month before it hits live. Usually two weeks beforehand, they'll do some unannounced AMA on Reddit or do an actual forum post explaining the stuff.

Riot's no great company, but I think they have a pretty good model with respect to patch notes. [It helps that Morello/FeralPony happen to be there to explain stuff in the vids.] Would a PBE of some kind be too hard to implement?

If I hadn't just upgraded Hartman I could have created a monster with better primary attributes then Eila with just the crystals I had lying around. What I don't understand is why nobody is complaining about this? Have people not realised that their monsters are now completely worthless?

It would be stupid to exempt her from feeding given how few crystals it requires to create a level 1600 monster now.

As a light melee one handed user, I think I got this nice and easy. Now I can survive for about 75 rounds in Grindfest, which is really assuring, considering that I can level up faster. The only problem is, the cash.

The training is too expensive man, for a poor fighter like me. Tenbooru-dono, can you do something about the price of the training? I thought the other stuff was no problem, as I can survive 75 rounds of Grindfest, which means I have gotten the hang of this game.

Balancing aside, mage build feels bad to play now. You have X number of offensive spells (6-8 generally) that do exactly the same thing, with the only variance being minor aoe and level off damage.

Old mage wasnt super exciting but you alternated between at least 2 attack spells, proc ether theft, manage buffs, debuffs on stronger enemies.

New mages just added an extra layer of bleh, theres nothing different from old maging you just cycle more spells that do less.

I feel bad for you, even though I am light 1H melee. Well, guess you need to wait further for this game to be stable and balanced. While waiting, how about fighting melee, using Niten Ichiryuu, to kill time.

I played a bit of DW leather and it actually feels a lot better but my proficiencies are low and my melee gear is bleh.

melee feels like you have a regular attack with 3 levels of cool attacks on cd.

mage feels like you have a piss attack, and aoe piss on a low cd, and your old regular attacks are now on moderate to long cooldowns with no new effects to make them feel special.

Well, guess we need to keep battling and grinding to get those pills. While at that, may as well feed the monster even though the hunger gauge drops just a little bit.
