All right, so after getting some sleep I decided to tackle HV again and I too am glad to see Tenboro has made some improvements.
I'm disappointed that there probably isn't going to be a refund for pack rat training but I'm also not going to complain about it, what's done is done.
My number one complaint right now is still the amount of credit drops which still seem far too low considering the high cost of everything.
And again a reset Mastery button.
Overall though I'm having a good deal more fun, I think what Tenboro did was a number crunch so everyone got nerfed even monsters since they can no longer be agitated and no longer one-shot you after a string of parries (sorry I only play melee).
I also think Tenboro's aim was to get people to think outside the box a little, for example you know 'Focus'? Mages know Focus I'm sure, I knew Focus was there but never paid it any attention. Well in the 110 Arena on IWBTH I ran out of Heroic Mana and Spirit potions, now I COULD'VE come to the forums and whined about it but I didn't I gave it some thought and decided to use Focus and voila! Mana back, woo! Save it for only one enemy otherwise you'll die really quick. Now there was the trouble with Spirit, okay, so I banged away on the schoolgirls and just allowed the game to regen my spirit...takes too long though so I thought how to speed it up.
Checked abilities and apparently I can Corruption which has a chance to proc Ripened Soul coupled with Drain that's been augmented with Spirit Theft and there you have it, I'm a Shade Arcanist/2H/Forbidden Mage....does that make me a Red Mage now? Haha!
@T_Starrk - Good suggestion with the Storm Spike Shield.
Also Corruption has a proc that lowers offensive capability (sorry forgot what it was called) and Ripened Soul makes the monsters more vulnerable to Holy Damage so now I know what to infuse my weapon with.
Good luck to everyone in finding your own tricks and strategies. (IMG:[
