Thanks for the comments, I've actually gotten a new tablet and I'm liking how responsive it is. Problem is, I don't know the tricks of the trade, don't know how to use vectors, I barely know layers for crying out loud. I don't play with the different effects you can put on the layers or what they do. I do what I can and that's why it takes me a week or more of my free time to do a pic.

Wow, thank you all for the nice comments, I'll have to show you a pic I finally finished working on today, this took me a couple of weeks to do. It's a pic of Aisha from outlaw star teasing and OC of tachi-nii on deviant art who requested the pic. Also first pic I've completed using my new tablet I got 2 months ago.

nice work

if you're using photoshop look up pen tutorials on youtube. It helps refine line art. I personally use the pen tool but to do the initial drawing i find pencil to paper the best feel.

I second the pen tool idea. The way it works doesn't make a lot of sense until you see it in action. You have to draw the points and then stretch the lines to the right shape using these handlebar things--it's a little weird.

TBH I find it's best to just use a scanner and ink by hand, but there are a number of things you can try if that doesn't work for you.

Thanks for the suggestions on the pen tool videos, I'll have to check them out, cause all my pics are done free hand without the pen tool.

Just randomly she'll do that, she used to work in electronic section of wal mart and she had most everyone working in that department doing that with her.
