Hey, I'm connecting to the site through Tor, which has always been fine up until a few days ago. Now though, while I can get to the forums (obviously) and Hentaiverse, the actual galleries themselves are a no go. I either get time outs or incredibly long loads followed by 503 errors. Anybody got any idea what might be causing this?

One of the nodes being used might be passing through someone who is blocked from the galleries for one reason or another.

Then it seems like a heckuva lot of exit nodes are banned from the sites. I swear, it's like playing the slots when trying to connect.

Have same issue. It seems every node is blocked.

People like using Tor to try to get around resource abuse blocks, which means exit nodes can easily end up blocked as well.

As the others have said though, it seems as if EVERY node is not connecting. I'm not sure it's a ban thing as I'm not getting 'Banned' messages - just refusals to load. Like I said, it was fine up to a few days ago, so I wonder if the filtering/banning system has changed recently, or maybe there was some sort of code tweak?

Well yeah, the frontends just drop the packets from abusive hosts, so it will be like yelling to a wall. If all of them fail, that just means someone's been thorough.

Ah right, thanks for clearing that up Tenboro. I guess somebody just hit the servers really hard on a ton of nodes. Are these blocks ever lifted or should I be looking into alternate proxies?

I can't access the gallery using Tor, too. In my country, main page is availible, but the gallery is blocked from country. I used Tor for accessing, but I can't access these days.

Tor is still broken, but it should be noted that the lofi gallery link still works.

If only there was a login there!

Not really; I've been using Tor to access the galleries for quite a while and I've noticed that this happens every so often. In a few months (hopefully), things will be back to normal. For now, the lo-fi galleries shall suffice.

You could use another proxy on top of Tor and presumably bypass the problem. I've done that before I knew about the lo-fi galleries and I just did it right now... The only problem is whether or not you trust proxies.

Trusting the exit nodes of Tor is the same as trusting any proxies: Tor will make sure your connection to the exit node is anonymous, but if you also need confidentiality, then you have to make sure the connection with the final website is encrypted, as the exit nodes can see the information you exchange with the final website.

However, what you have to trust is the software that will be responsible of chaining the Tor link with other proxies, as Tor is unable to do that.
