Now, here's a good example of a disciplined and thought-out approach. You still have your trophies...so you're reminded of the effort required to earn the prize...and you have a lingering hope of a potential wonderful reward to come but with none of the disappointment of actually shrining and getting something disappointing. With a lasting reminder of how to conduct yourself next HV holiday frenzy.

And maybe someday, someone will figure out that Tenboro actually built a reward algorithm that doubles the value with every elapsed year. Leading to a new class of gear...

You're right too, which is a part of why HV is so maddening. (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) It's only a very small amount of "fun" letting them sit there. Zero fun turning them into garbage, beyond the thrill just before you press the space bar. And a ton of fun if they turn into something extraordinary....but so unlikely. That's why I'll continue to just shrine my noodles, grind my game and put my faith in Tenboro giving more value next year to this year's trophies. He's capable of anything after all. (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif)

To be fair though, I only got it recently. I just haven't seen anyone will to shell out a good amount for an Estoc lately so I figured it was worth more in my inventory (Magnificents are under-appreciated right now anyways since Legendaries are so much more attainable now). Also doesn't help that it's lacking in the str department and I know people will try to downplay it because of that (bartering is annoying). Maybe my internet will miraculously get better one of these days and I can take it for a spin (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/happy.gif)

@fun talk regarding trophies
Some people take great fun in attaining wealth or selling things for more than they think it's worth. (hence why everyone wants price checks all the time) (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

edit: PS about the snowflakes. I believe T made it independent of difficulty/scavenger/etc. (think of it this way, if it was drop chance based, high levels would be *SWIMMING* in them from all our high drop chance high PL monsters we facemelt on normal difficulty)
My theory is it's purely a "per round" basis.

"Disciplined" YES (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/happy.gif) Just look at all the work and things I do to keep my shop up and running.
"thought-out approach" YES (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/happy.gif) I try and makes plans before I do something.
I been working still on the plan I made for fix up my shop for the last 3 hours.
Also I know some time down the road I can get something for me with out taking the gamble with the shrine that hates me (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif)
Like with the "fire keeper soul" I saved it, than sold it to Rainbow for I think it was 3 hath at the time.
That 3 hath to me was more useful than whatever I would have got (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/happy.gif)
So I'm saving them till I feel it's time to use them are I can get something good for them (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/happy.gif)

I want to shrine my trophies so much. I have almost all of the rare/seasonal trophies still in my inventory.

Looks like the best price is 150k for the crystal. Far off what you want. Sounds a lot like all the pieces of equipment people have rotting in their shops where they are asking far more than its worth. You're all welcome to do as you please with it, but don't pretend it's worth more or less than exactly what it is.

Yup. It rised but for now I'm content to price-match, buy whichever comes my way and save them for future patch.
