Still interesting games coming out that i'm looking forward to.

Still I feel the wrong people are in control of the industry and they just don't get it when it comes to what gamers are actually interested in.

Do people grow out of watching movies? It's a form of entertainment, a very diverse one. Why would you ever 'grow out' of it?

I feel like its going to happen soon. I am in a cycle of playing halfway through a game, picking another one up, and waiting until I have too many games to play to care about.
Haven't finished a game since Metal Gear Rising.

More than actually losing interest in games, maybe losing interest in certain kind of games. I've been drifting away from RPGs and more towards rhythm games as of late.

I have on and off periods. I plan to get back into games this summer, but right now, I've just gotten some PC short games and LOL.

I tend to bounce between Anime and Games to stop myself getting bored of one or the other.

I already have, but I don't think it means I won't ever play again if the right game comes along.

I don't think I ever will. I hope not. Being able to play is a different thing, though. One day, I fear responsabilities will be too many to have time to play, to enjoy playing.

This, essentially. I grew out of RPGs for a while, but came back to them. I stopped RTSs for a while, but came back. "Games" is such a broad term that I don't see myself growing out of "games." Maybe certain genres.

Nope, though I did take a short break from gaming during the last gen.

The only way I can imagine not gaming is if I have absolutely no way to obtain games.

Sometimes I feel tired of playing games, and then some really nifty game will pop up and I'll make the time to play it. I used to play games a lot more, and I would get burned out on them. It's actually nice now to have them be something special I do rather than a daily routine.

Sad but true. It's only a matter of time before the 3DS and PS Vita are phased out completely due to quicky social games on phones.

Same thing goes for the Graphics/Visual Effects for todays teens. I hardly know of anyone playing turn-based RPGs anymore. It's all about CoD and other FPS games.

I dunno if thats really going to happen, i personally prefer playing 3DS,PSP or any other portable console over anything. Its relaxing and makes you focus in the game whenever you want... mobile games are full of ads and are mostly shitty.
Besides Bravely Default has shown how RPGs are still strong right?

Rather than getting tired of it, it's more like I'm getting less and less time to play and my backlog keeps on increasing.

I'm not sure if I posted in this thread earlier, but I do kind of feel as though I'm getting burned out on them. At first I thought it was just the current lackluster state of the industry, but over time I realize it was ME who was jaded (in addition to the industry being horribly flawed). Games I would have legitimately enjoyed (or did) I play through with indifference, or had to force myself to enjoy.

Honestly at this point I find it more entertaining discussing (read: complaining about) them than I do playing them.

Can't see myself "growing out of it" as long as I'm still being entertained and enjoying the games that come out.
