Maybe get tired abit like anyone could now and then, but never grow out of them. So long as favorite developers continue to produce them and my favorite kind are made, I'll continue playing them.

I've been playing games for a long time, but recently I've found myself rather bored of most games. They all just fell the same.

I think as I age and play less (other activities & responsibilities) I'm going to put some time aside to get together and throw adult lan parties and play through a whole storyline in something like diablo 3, dark souls 2, or borderlands 2. Only problem is most of my gaming friends have already played completely through these games. I also really like mmorpgs (knight online, silk road online, vindictus, guild wars 2), but I just don't have the time & energy to play them.

Imo, games are a "new" form of entertainment for both children and adults, like movies, so I'm not planning on growing tired soon... ^^;

Games are great for intellectual stimulation. Most books, TV, and movies are just shallow entertainment. I like something that makes you think.

I semi-retired from games and other things recently, but I'm starting to get back into them now.

I don't think I'll ever completely stop, though I will have times where my priorities won't allow me to, but I can see myself playing a lot less than I used to.

I can't really see myself growing out of them entirely, though I did play them less for about a year or so. I've been becoming more jaded and enjoying them less, so I suppose I am tired of them, though that may be because of the sorry state of the video game industry itself. But I don't think I would ever drop them entirely.

Life has limited the amount of time I can devote to games for the past few years. But I will game whenever I have the free time.

Really?

To be quite honest, I see it the other way around.

Except for books; I was never into reading novels, although there were some very few exceptions.

When "full-immersion" holographic systems arrive in the living room, would they still be considered "video" games?

That's why I say some. There are great books, but there are also things books like Twilight. And there are great games, but there are also games like Call of Duty. But I'd say even a Call of Duty game is more engaging than something like Twilight since you can literally skip through pages with no interaction. You need at least some thought to play a video game.
